    Lynn, that's great news!

    hicks, hope you are okay!

Back still not in great shape, that just means another very boring day - trying to not do anything except what I'm supposed to!

    Enjoy the day!

Hmmm, maybe I should ask the Dr about that.

Walks, that's exactly what sleep apnea is!!
I was so concerned about him...It's absolutely dangerous! When they take that gasp, their blood vessels collapse for a second and can cause blood clots...and you know what that can mean: a stroke!
There are two doctors there who consult with patients on their results, and the one who gave my hubby his, said that he's being given a break...if Dr Shapiro was there, he wouldn't have let him leave the hospital without one! This guy gave him 24-hrs to get one, and he did.
From the first night, there wasn't a peep put of him! He and that machine were as quite as a mouse!
And last night he wasn't falling asleep watching tv by 10:00! This morning he's up, wide awake and outside already, not golfing!! Lol!

So yes, my dear Friend...get him in for testing! This is dangerous for them...I really feel we've been given more years together. The clinic at the Parry Sound hospital is apparently one of the most advanced sleep clinics, testing something like 80 indicators during his sleep (in a private room, incidentally). They knew every time he woke up, even if he didn't remember, when he dreamt, it was so involved, and he'd likely be in within the month! Sorry to go on and on, but it's a scary condition, Hon.

Painting class today...yay...and it's sunny and hot again, and the trees are JUST about to leaf-out!

    Have a super-great day, everyone!!

I always thought it was just that he was really tired and was sleeping very soundly and his body forgot to take the breath in or out for a few seconds. Geez! I am not sure he will like this news. He tells me I snore now, so wait till he hears this one. I'll keep ya posted.

    Good morning!!
Painting class went so well yesterday, I'm beginning to like my painting, even though it's an outdoor scene from a photo I took at Grundy prov park. My teacher even held it up for the class to see my "detailed" work which is quite different, apparently from the more 'looser' styles others have and he seemed pretty excited about it and said, he really liked it! So...on I go with it; honestly, I really disliked it in the beginning!!!

Walks, it's a scary condition and I bet it took two years AND the resulting consultation to convince my hubby that he was living dangerously! So yes, no immediate acceptance is likely on the horizon for your hubby...it's a big step to a breathing machine.
As for us...my hubby says I "purr", not snore...lol...so that's what you're to tell your hubby!

    Take care, my Friend.

Have a glorious, sunny weekend, everyone!!! Stay safe, enjoy this spring we've all been waiting for!!

By the way....speaking of living dangerously, if you haven't seen the movie, "The Year of Living Dangerously" yet, you really should! Yes, fairly old, but amazing on so many levels!

I have a number of back issues: spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, ruptured & herniated discs, sciatica, significant nerve damage, & arthritis. The arthritis has spread to my S.I. joints (sacral iliac) and occasionally they cannot support my hips / pelvic bones. Anyhow, while I was sleeping, a spasm jerked me awake. When I jumped, the left pelvic bone dislocated.

Thanks. LOTS & LOTS of pillows.

Painful is an understatement. They administer morphine, have 4 staff hold you down while the doctor grabs hold of the bone, pulls it out, twists it, then puts it back in place. They then wrap you tight for 24 hours. Believe me, the pain meds had very little effect. I think I did some screaming, at least a little. I'm on morphine @ home too.

Oh well, the worst is over - I think / hope.
Again, thank you all for your well wishes.
