Lynn - let us know what those ribs are called and where from. I've seen prepackaged ones and have never tried any because ya never know... ya know?
I always cook them from raw, but sometimes it would be nice just to have some on hand.

We are rib lovers, too!

Oh, darn it, Hon....it was over yesterday..you can see the package in the Flyers section here, in Food Basics. We only buy packaged meats at FB, not the "open" ones, iykwim, so as these were boxed, hubby picked them up...the brand is "Lou's".
Now I'm sad....I wanted him to pick up more of them esp at that sale price!
Watch for them to go on sale again somewhere, you know how things tend to trend...good luck...they were so meaty, the sauce was so tasty...I'm very picky about ribs,lol, and like you said, in a hurry (or not!) these are great!!!

Hi folks! Thanks for your comments! DH is preparing ribs as we speak to feed to his son when he gets here after 10 tonight! I don't do ribs anymore (garlic issues).
Well, I'm trying to balance getting caught up in energy wrt our trip last night and getting the basement "guest area" organized for dh's son. That involves packing away all my winter sweaters in the drawers down there and switching out summer blouses with winter sweaters in the closets and changing the furnace filter and taking excess pillows over to my brother who is getting a new bed tomorrow and exchanging the mattress cover that we bought at Sears - they charged him $129 for a double cover - I couldn't believe it! Also picking up prescriptions and sweeping up the broken glass in the basement that happened when I overloaded a "pile" in the process of doing all the above.
HOW DOES ONE SIMPLE TASK turn into dominos????
I think I'll take the dogs for a walk. (Procrastination is my middle name.) But the poor dogs were crossing their legs for a long time last night before we got home.

Our ride home was complicated by crossing the border and then realizing - it's 1 am - no restaurants are open where we can go to the bathroom! So - in a panic, I had DH go to the emergency ward - they have bathrooms there - and it's close to the border. We got back at 2:30 am. It seemed like every Stones Fan was a Canadian! We did see a few limos on the 401 ferrying folks back to Chatham.

Ah, it's 30 here, but I've kept the house closed up, so it's decent inside.

Am not cooking supper because:

1. it would heat up the house
2. being on my owie leg isn't good
3. I don't wanna...

Nice to hear you're getting some relief by keeping your home closed up....my Mom used to do that and it was quite cool in the summers. No cooking is a bonus! Some gal on the phone told me we're supposed to reach into the low 30s over the weekend. I can see my DH taking our grandson home to jump in the pool, although he may have a problem fishing him out, Lol! I shall be home keeping cool as a cuke... I don't like that much heat!

Sorry you have a boo-boo leg, Nat...is there anything you can do that could help? Keeping it elevated?

Hmmmmmmm...soooooooo..your Hubby makes ribs, eh? Um. Perhaps, Avon....I mean to say 'no pressure' or anything, but just in case I'm well enough for us to visit later this summer...{{{cough}}}...he could maybe.....you know, like....toss a few ribs on the barbie?? If he wants to, I mean.......

Lynn, I have had a horrible infection on my lower leg - have been on meds for just over a week, and it's better - but not totally healed. Will have to decide tomorrow whether to go back to a doc or not.

Nat, gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about this, and I strongly urge you to go back your doc if it's not healed. Don't take any chances with it potentially getting worse.....promise? {{{hugs}}}
