So true, Hicks...Nat, blessings to you and to your Dad...

A wonderful, sunny day here, too, Walks....enjoy running your errands!!
Hicks, I'm so sorry about your migarine...does the weather bring it on? I hope by now it's subsided and you're feeling much better....
We're off to do a little shopping...I want a new area rug for our living-room, but unfortunately, I have champagne tastes on a beer (okay, wine) budget and I've looked through every single Canadian site for rugs and can't find a thing I like!!!
Carpe diem, everyone!!

Jenny is such a cutie.

Avon, omg, that sounds like a lot of work, and money. I'm so sorry you have to go through all that.
Because I didn't read your post till just now, I didn't notice that that was the anniversary of your Mom's passing. Same thought as with Nat's post, she'll always there with you.
Ok, head's throbbing -back to bed.

A gorgeous 40' long park-model trailer just came up for sale at our DD's campground on a pretty lot, and we're thisclose to buying it, but the big problem is we'd have to sell our almost-new trailer at quite a loss!!!!

What to do...what to do????!!! GAH!!

gee, hicks, I sure hope you have gotten some relief and are better.

That's a beautiful pic you posted, thanks for the reminder!
Lynn, don't do it - be comfortable with what you have!
My sweet husband just left for shopping; oh, how I love him for doing that!

good morning all! I see evidence outside that it must have rained whilst I slept last night. Was up late too, never heard a thing though. We are expecting very hot and humid temps for the w/e now.
So a 40' trailer eh Lynn!? Sounds exciting, also to have a lot right there in the same Park as the kids. Big decision though.
I decided to simply wrap one of DH's big long loud ( think Hawaiian style ) shirts over my pj's to take the dogs out quickly, since in behind the walking park there is never anyone out much this early. BUT, wasn't my very hairy neighbour out on his backyard deck shirtless having a smoke!? We both did a " deer in the headlights " look at each other, a quick nod and then I scurried along!! ha ha ha
Happy Shocking Saturday!!

... Lol, Walks...that's always the way it happens! Hahaha....I'd never be able to pull it off: Jenny would bark at hairy-guy (yeeeech) and call attention to ourselves...or worse, try to pull me over so that she can be admired! {{shudder}}
Yes, huge decision. So many up-sides, and very few downsides: we could go at the drop of a hat whenever we want to instead of waiting until their 1pm check-in time and 11am check-out time...if it looks lousy out, we don't have to go on that weekend, losing our $ for two nights...no hitching and un-hitching our trailer and backing it into our rented lot (which takes my hubby so long!)...our fridge and freezer would stay stocked with staples, a full kitchen, sofa, bonus room for my painting, separate bedroom for him when we'd take our grandson up with us...OMG, he'd give anything to be there as much as he could! And it would give his Mom and Dad a break...and 6th Avenue is "retirement-row", almost a separate community there, which organizes golf tournaments, card nights, dinners....Downside? Selling our trailer...um...we'd have to pay for satellite tv for the summer...Gah! It's Christmas in July there today...turkey dinner at the community centre...the kids will have fun...
All-in-all...I think we're going for it! We're heading down there this afternoon for another look.....
So finally Ontario is getting some well-deserved rain! Lawns are so parched here, we really needed it. Unfortunately it's on the weekend, but...a soaking is needed.
Stay safe, everyone, and have a wonderful weekend!!

Good morning every1, and it is.

My migraine finally eased up about 3:30 a.m. this morning.
So today should be a much better day.
Lynn, wow that sounds almost perfect; big decision though.
Walker, I thought things like that only happened to me.
It's been busy so far today. Guess I have to make up for yesterday. Took Jake to the beach. It never ceases to amaze me how that sand sticks to every hair and his body. He's bathed, so am I. 1st load of laundry's in, sheets changed, and dishes done. Debating having a 2nd pot of coffee, but no, I think I'll start a major project - cleaning. yuck
I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning, Hicks!
I'm so happy you finally shook off that migraine, but it sure lasted a long time, though. Is that usual for you? Is it the weather changes that brings them on?
And good grief....I've been up about as long as you have and all I've managed is a cuppa coffee and the breakfast hubby made for me! My knee/leg is still very stiff in the mornings, so it takes a while to get moving. I try to do more each day without re-hurting myself....Lordy, when I can finally move around like a normal person again, I hope nothing can stop me. I took my mobility for granted: not any more!
Stay well, my Friend and have a lovely day with your sugar-pie, Jake

woot! woot! All the up sides ( the pros ) sound wonderful Lynn!! I can see making that jump to a permanent getaway spot. Oh the fun you'll have on retirement row!! Enjoy.
Hiya hicks, Jake sure must enjoy those baths as much as the beach, can picture him romping around in the sand. O.K. out the door shortly, just spent the last hour on the phone!! Cacth ya all later on.

Unfortunately, the headache's back, but not as painful; I can still function.
I honestly don't know what my 'triggers' are, sometimes it seems the weather affects it, but usually not.
When they started, when I was about 35, the 1st one knocked me out cold. The Dr's. thought I'd had an aneurism. The 1st 1/2 doz. were like that, and unbearable.
For about 5 years, I kept a daily diary of weather, what I was doing and eating, in an attempt to identify those triggers. The most common are weather, coffee, and chocolate. None seemed to fit.
Anyhow, still better than yesterday, so I'm going to keep plugging away until I can't.
Lynn, I agree with Walker, there seems to be so many pros, and only one con. Like I said before, it sounds perfect for your family. Hope it works out for you love. Fingers crossed.
