Aw, rats....our Grandson is home with a cold, which brings on his asthma, so it's off to the clinic with his Mom this morning for his puffer...poor critter. Asthma runs in our family (my grandmother died from it and its complications, but that was before our modern medicines, of course)...of all the things he had to inherit!

Silly me; I thought I'd do some gardening this morning b4 it got too hot.
Lawn's cut, & a little weeding, but I had to call it quits.
So, I guess I'll just have to set up my lounge chair, relax, pour a glass of wine, and read a book in the sun. Poor me.

oh Lynn I have a very demanding day here, ( sarcasm begins!! ) I want to go buy 2 nice Blue Jays shirts to wear to the game we are going to. That is it, nothing else on my plate. ( end of sarcasm )

Sorry about what your GS has to deal with with his asthma, I have never experienced that ( shortness of breath ) and can only imagine the panic it could set off in a young kid. Hope his puffers provide him relief.

Lynn, sorry your GS has, not only a summer cold, but asthma. Not comfortable at all. Hope it's not severe.

Oh, I finally got off my butt, and baked those blueberry tarts, and 1 pie. They just came out of the oven.
I don't know what I'm having for dinner, but the dessert's looked after.

Today is a much cooler day, so I'm happy with it. We may get a few drops of rain later - the south has a rainfall warning out.
Lynn, the farmers around here are worried about drought - we have had such a small fraction of the rain we usually get, compounded by their not having been much snow over the past winter. Totally depends upon what area of the province one is in.

Good morning, Peeps!
Our GS's asthma was well under control last night, thank God and meds, so he's back to summer camp today. Hubby's golfing, and Jenny and I are relaxing on the sofa. She's of course totally wrapped in her blankie, so I'm going to have to hoist the little burrito over to refill my coffee cup. She won't move.

I think I'm going to take the van out all by myself this afternoon...it's gorgeous out today again, to run up to Michaels for a paint colour I need; it's only about 1k away, so not a big haul.. Of course, being up there, I just have to drop in on HomeSense. Marshall's......Winners.... Etc.....

Wow massive Jays news: Jose Reyes traded to Colorado Rockies for SS Troy Tulowitzki! Jays also sending some minor league players and Jays will also get right-handed pitcher LaTroy Hawkins.

Tulowitzki is considered by many as the best shortstop in baseball!

Go Jays Go!
Just add some pitching and a good left fielder, and we are heading to the playoffs!

Watching the news and I'm just sick about those two young teen boys who are lost at sea off Florida's coast. Apparently they're "very comfortable" with boating, very experienced, but apparently, being 14 years old, when they were fuelling up, they told someone that they were heading to the Bahamas! (Bermuda?) ..... Just so sickening to think what happened to them....their boat was found...

i thought they were too young to be out on the boat by themselves but apparently they had gone fishing alone before
