Nat, wow, that's quite a few celebrations. Congrats to all.

Haven't been home long. A very dear friend was rushed to hospital this afternoon. I got the call about 4:00, so went right over. He's awaiting surgery, probably tomorrow.
Now I'm watching the Jays, but it's not going well.

Avon, I hope ur feeling better.

Well, all done with my ultrasound, home safe and sound...both our DD and my Hubby checked up on me, so all's good. Gosh he said it's so stifling humid in Toronto...I said it's hot and humid here, too, but we have a nice breeze blowing through which tempers it...Stay hydrated, everyone down there!!

Good day, all!

I didn't post in the wee hours as I usually do, but now it seems so late!
I was up all night, but slept several hours late morn, early aft - so just finished a late lunch and am trying to catch up everywhere.

In our family, the 19th is celebration day! - anniversary of my second oldest sister and her husband - 43 years; birthday of my baby brother - 44; birthday of my BIL, oldest sister's husband.

The 16th was the anniversary of my oldest sister and her husband - 46 years; I was flower girl for their wedding!

Be good to those you love today - so much crap going on in the wider world, families are everything to hold dear!

those are a lot of great reasons for celebrations and CAKE!

Avon - These weird atmospheric pressure/ humidity changes could be a factor.

Gonna drive south in this heavy rain, almost to Lake Ontario, to my DD's.
She's a teacher, so she wants to complete a major hardwood flooring and
kitchen renovation project before going back to work.

Hello every1. I hope you're all having a great day.

Me, well, my friend's almost 71, and not in the best of health. I've been there most of the night, and again this morning, until they took him in for open heart surgery.
It's going to take hours, so I came home to be with Jake for awhile. His family's there, so there's no sense in me staying. I'll go back later.

Threw my back out at work Monday reaching over to turn water on for mop. Geez who hurts themselves turning water on lol. Anyway I asked my aunt where she bought her homedics back massager. She tells me sears so I was gonna buy one. Then an hour later she texts me to say her friend has exact same one never used and did I want it for $60, umm yes thanks. So she dropped it off today, oh man so good.

hicks, positive thoughts for your friend, hoping he has a good result.

margy, there is 24 years difference between the oldest sister and the youngest brother - mom had her last when she was 45, ten years after she had me. Yup, six kids and that was starting in the '40s with no mod cons. She was an amazing woman, that's for sure. She was a teacher before becoming a SAHM.

Well, I can't believe how quickly this week has gone by; that usually doesn't happen for me; since I'm at home, usually the week drags...
