Home Sweet Home!!

We decided to come home today instead of tomorrow since thunderstorms are on the way with drizzly weather tomorrow; no sense in spending the day there.

Another BUSY weekend! We all went to the Providence Bay Fair, and carnival...our DD and our Grandson went on multiple rides, then his Daddy took over...Hubby and I went into the Exhibition hall where all the entries in various categories from turnips to cukes, to handcrafted items...omg...I said, "I'm going to enter a TON of things next year!!|" Honestly....I looked at the stuff that won and I know I can compete! This will be so much fun! I'm thinking of entering the queen-sized quilt I made, also...too much fun! And we topped it off with my Hubby buying me a big wad of floss candy! I don't think I've had one in 30 years or more! I ate it on the way back to camp..Then, at our park they organized a geocaching hunt and our Grandson was ALL over it, using his Mom's phone (she entered the coordinates) until they found all but one of the items! They had to leave a little gift better than the one they found, so he had fun determining the value of his 'treasures', lol...then we collapsed after dinner for a nice bonfire and marshmallows and spider weiners. Another great weekend!!

Other than that, I see everyone has survived the weekend...
Nat, nice to hear that you're enjoying cooler weather, although we know what's coming, don't we? Gah!!

Avon, I'm so happy to hear that your sweet Grandaughter is out of the hospital, but your DIL not feeling well...oh, they'll be happy to have a couple of extra pairs of hands to help them out when you two visit!! I'll call you tomorrow...

Hicks...busy for sure now that you have company; I'll continue to pray for your Friend's recovery.

And still nothing from Tara? This has me worried.......

Off to watch my beloved NFL, even though it's an exhibition game, with a nice glass of well-deserved wine.

I used to enter items in the fairs when we lived in smaller cities - it was always cool.

Had a wonderful supper which my husband made; son came over.
He was very busy with Cruise Weekend, so of course had to tell us about all the cool cars he saw. He also drove his old Caddy, so felt more like he fit in this year!

Just catching up a bit this evening - and running around the interwebs.

Heartgirl, I pretended not to see the splashes of red/gold leaves on the trees when we were camping, but truth be told, they were evident here and there. Sign of the times.....I can't believe summer is over!!!

Oh, I love that little sprite on here daddy's shoulders! I never had one of those shirts, but I wish I had...just never got involved with any groups (dancers, singers, etc) who wore them...I love that headpiece she has on.

As for falling leaves...it's too early, Nat!!!!!
