Good morning, everyone!
Another day in paradise...going up to a balmy 26, so Hubby's taking his motorcycle for a run across town to Science North, the university; I'll try and remain calm until he's safely home.
Not much to do around here, though, just some 'picking up' a load of laundry here and there, or I just might escape myself and poke around some stores.
Stay well, everyone and have a lovely day!!

Thanks for all the good thoughts, people - we seem to be in a holding pattern. Will see what Monday brings, although we may not get any results unless they think he needs more tests.
In the meantime, Dh's BIL is being checked out for cancer. He had a melanoma successfully operated on early in the spring. We saw him today for the first time in about 6 weeks and he looks very tired and ill. He is avoiding the subject of his health and trying to keep up his working pace. They have just moved into a much bigger property and house than they had been renting. If I were SIL, I'd be VERY nervous about her ability to maintain things if he has to go through therapy or surgery. We had a very nice visit, though. It was the first time we had seen their new place.
Bye for now!

Good morning everyone.
Hicks - WTG, my friend, being proactive with your health!
Lynn - You're in Sudbury...that must be such a beautiful area.
I looked up Science North. Did you know that the two
snowflake-shaped buildings are connected by a rock
tunnel which passes through a billion-year-old geologic
fault? Amazing.
Avon - Sending good thoughts for your DH. I'm going to be in
London myself on Saturday visiting my son and family
in their newly-built house.
Walks - Hope you're finally done tomato canning...you must
have tomato juice acid burn on your fingers by now.
To answer your question, yes 1 litre-sized jars.
Right now, I have an over-abundance of pears. I've made a batch
of slow-cooked (6 hours) Pear Butter. Maybe I'll make some canned pears.
Should be another beautiful day...love this weather.

Good fine morning, everyone!!
Not as sun-shiny as it's been lately, threatening thunder-boomers, so it'll mostly be an inside day. Our DD has about 8 green garbage bags of clothes to get rid of, so we may take that off their list and bring them to the Salvation Army for them...OH!! I HAVE to take a picture of the big dragon she free-handed on our Grandson's newly decorated room!!! He wanted a fierce dragon, and that's the one he picked out on line, so she printed it out, then drew and painted it on his wall...red dragon on dove grey wall...man, if she every wanted to give up the financial world, she could make money ... although not as much, lol...but in retirement, maybe...
Margy, lol, yes, that tunnel is amazing with how it's lit up to enhance the walls and ceiling...we used to take our Grandson there every Sunday from about the age of 2 so his Mom and Dad could have a few hours to themselves and it was so nice to be with him. Over the years they've all come to know him on a first-name basis, lol, so he just walks up to a "blue coat" and asks for the tarantula to be placed on his hand...or the walking stick, two of his favourites...My Hubby still takes him from time to time now since I couldn't do the walking required to keep up with him there.
Other than that, not too exciting around here..Avon, I'll call you later today; I'll give you time to wake up...
Walkonby...just...I don't know...TRY to stay out of mischief? Of course, even as I typed that I knew that wasn't going to happen....sigh...
Dan, have a great day in your new office...have you moved in, yet?
Hicks, I hope it's a do-nothing day for you finally...you've been so busy with your Friend and all the tests you've had lately, not to mention your worry over Jake...how is he lately?
Okay! Things to do (more or less)!!
We're closing up the trailer on Sunday, the kids are, also...so that's it for camping this year!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Good morning all. Yes, finally Friday.

Lynn, I'm surprised you're closing up the trailer so soon. I thought you'd wait till Thanksgiving. It's so beautiful then, and having TG dinner there with the family, made it REALLY feel like Thanksgiving.
Jake's doing better, finally. We have a vet appt. in about an hour.
Margy - enjoy the day in London. It'll be great seeing your DS's new home. Hope the storms hold off for you. It's nice now, but they say this afternoon, well ……..
Wow, all the canning you & Walker do so amazing. I've never done pears, nor have I even tasted pear butter, but it sounds good. I use to do beets, tomatoes, relish, jams, etc., but there's no point now that I'm alone. Enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Avon - prayers for your BIL; hope things go well for him.
Dan; the end of week 1 in your new office. Hope it's all come together for you.
Have a great day every1, I have a lot of running around to do today. ttys

Hi, Hicks!
I agree that there may be times in the fall that would be lovely to be at camp, but the place closes down Thanksgiving weekend, so if we celebrated there we'd have that to contend with as well as packing up the whole place, preparing the trailer to over-winter there and that's a whole whack of stuff to cram into one weekend. Besides, the weather is so unpredictable up here, that the weekend we might have to close up could be a rainy mess, like it was for 'the kids' last year. They had to pull in their 3 tip-outs while they were wet, which isn't the best situation. So, with our schedules, our DD out of town next weekend, it leaves only about 1 weekend that we could be up there in some semblance of peace and quiet, so....we'll all do this together on Sunday. It'll be kind-of sad, though....it's been such a nice, hot, shiny summer this year!!
UGH! I can't believe it's over! And the Farmer's Almanac is predicting an early snowfall the first week of November! It probably won't stay, but it's still just too awful to think about!!!
