Good morning all. I hope you have an awesome day. :)

Morning all...
yesterday was horrible...felt like a teeny tiny little cat was sitting on the back of my tongue scratching and pawing on my tongue and back of my throat, and I guess the little tiny gnome gardener in my nose was forgot about the hose and left it running all day. Let's not forget about the combination Mariachi band/tap dancing stomp performers hybrid group doing an all day marathon session inside my head...
Definitely should not have come into the office, lest the fact that there was paperwork that HAD to go out yesterday morning. Thankfully, I got the paperwork out well before noon, then told my manager I was going home.
Slept for most of the afternoon...lady made me chicken soup for dinner ( her to bits for that...she normally sticks to using at least a 10' pole to interact with me while I'm sick)
Did a bit of work from home while I had a bit of energy...watched the Jays lose...then crashed for the night...honestly don't remember walking to the bedroom or even laying down...
This morning wasn't as bad...but still rough...might go home early again.
HATE being sick...HATE IT :angryfire:
Take care fam...
until later...or tomorrow...whenever...
^^ aw, Dan. Nothing sucks more than dragging yourself into work with a cat scratching at your throat, an evil garden gnome watering your nose and a Mariachi band beating in your head. No fair! Feel better soon my dear!
Off to physio soon, last night I processed 7 pints of pickles beets!! a 10 lb bag was just a buck! ( $1.00 ) at Sobeys....crazy cheap!
Holy Jeebus, I missed Lynn's Birthday...:(
Sounds like you had a wonderful time though @Lynn49 .
Happy Belated Birthday!
We have been at the ER since 10 this morning. DH having severe pain under his right ribs. They have ruled out pneumonia. He's been gone for an hour to have a CT scan to look for blood clots. They just brought a guy in in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs and shackles on his ankles chained to his handcuffs .
Welcome to the big city hospital. !

Gee, avon, hoping for the best for your husband.
(I know what you mean about city hospitals - there have been several times when I have had to go the ER for IV antibiotics every eight hours, so one of those times was usually during the night - and I saw things I wished I hadn't seen; overall, I sure had my eyes opened.
Dan, hope you are better soon! You are very descriptive!
I've been dealing with a tummy bug - hoping its 24-hours are almost over...
walkonby, that's crazy to have beets so cheap - I thought I was doing well getting a bag for 3.50 - mine will be going into making borscht, though - might make a batch of pickled beets just for the fridge - I don't do canning.
Sending you and your Hubby prayers and hugs, wish I could be there with you.
Fingers crossed for a successful 2nd CT scan....oh, you poor little muffins....
Group hug for you two, my Friend..:grouphug:
Waiting with you...............

Good evening every1. Boy, I've missed a lot, but haven't even had time to read my 7 p.m.s yet.
@Natalka - I hope your tummy's feeling better soon.
@danger_dan - boy you've had a rough time lately. I was feeling miserable for you, just reading your description. Man, those bugs seem to really like you. You're going to have to stop feeding them, so they'll move out - permanently.
@avoncallingu - I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope they find out what's causing his pain. Such a long, stressful day. I hope you're home by now, and can get a good, solid nights sleep.
@Lynn49 - I hope you got everything done you had to, and were able to get some rest.
@walkonby - 7 pints of beets for a buck; great deal !! And, it must be nice to have that much energy. I use to do pickled beets too, but not any longer. Not worth it for just me.
Avon and her Hubby are home now; it's been such a long day, but they're finally able to get some rest.
As will Jenny and I!!
Sweet dreams, everyone!!
Hello folks! After 3 types of tests and 11 hours they could not tell us what the problem was but what it wasn't. No pneumonia, no clots in lungs or heart. Probably an issue in his chest wall. They literally sent him home with 2 Tylenol and a super-strength Advil and we are to call (the oncologist) in the morning.
Exhausted, but happy with what it wasn't. Our friend came down from Cambridge to take care of Sadie. As my brother says - she's the dog whisperer. I was afraid Sadie would not like an "invader" coming into our house. But Sadie was just glad to get out for a walk. (They had met before but just once.) - Some great watch dog. She only objects to intruders when we are HERE, I guess.
It was a draining day. Thanks for your good wishes!
Hope you are feeling better Dan!
Great find of beets!
You are great cooks and inspiring fall appreciators!
Thanks, Lynn for being at the other end of the line. Too bad I couldn't get to you.
The only thing I could do at the hospital was read an Amish Romance novel on my Kindle and play Solitaire which doesn't take internet connection.
G' night and God Bless as my mother used to say.
Morning Fam.
Feeling better...just the tail end of this pesky bug.
Time to hit that stack of paperwork that's been piling up on my desk!
Have a great Hump day!
Glad you are well, dan - I am, too!
Have a great day, everyone!
