When the kids were babies I would double up on the crib bedding- a fitted sheet, mattress pad thingy, then another fitted sheet and pad over top... so easy just to rip the top layer off in the middle of the night!!! But that was then and this is now and they can do a lot more damage as they get older, especially when they're sick

We almost lost "puppy" one time... he was covered in puke but I managed to wash it all out (gagging the whole freaking time) and he had about 3 "baths" in the washing machine!!! DS is 9 and he's had that stuffed dog since he was a year old and he still sleeps with it

Little guy doesn't have any favorite stuffies, he never has. No blankie either. He just doesn't seem to get attached to things!

I cleaned my oldest DS's room once and threw a bunch of stuff out... he freaked and he'll still bring it up sometimes. It was before I knew the severity of his problems and it was stuff that I had no idea meant anything to him. It was a hard day and I still feel awful about it... guess that's part of being a mom! I'm a heck of a lot more careful now before I get rid of their stuff!

yep we live and learn every day!!
my son got over it thankfully but i did still feel bad...
when we're cleaning i tell them they have to go pick 6 things to throw out or donate, etc ... and that seems to shock them less. if they're really getting into it i encourage them to grab more items

nothing like puke talk first thing in the am...lol
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Wow...if I don't hop on early in the morning it sure takes time to catch up!
'Mornin', everyone! Sorry for those who are sick...I got rid or most of my bronchitis by giving it to my hubby..I've always been a generous person that way...
I hope we're all fine and healthy by the time spring actually arrives; seems we have plenty of time for that!
I've put another batch of stuff in my breadmaker this morning...lovely for diets: not! What the heck has gotten into me, I have no idea, although it must be my late Mom and all the baking she used to to in preparation for Easter...omg, the Ukrainian braided breads, cinnamon rolls, fruit breads...it's just in my genes, I guess...I use the dough cycle, then turn it out and pretend that I actually did something by shaping into buns and loaves...it feels a little more hands-on than making the breadmaker do all the work...
Stay well everyone....lots of rest, chicken soup, but I'd skip the fresh air for now...gah!!
-2 this morning, but up to +1 on the weekend....oh, sure...I've heard THAT lie before!!!
Toodles for now!!!
