It's funny, now that our son is 21 - he honestly thinks back and thanks us for straightening him out - not that he ever got really out of hand, but just those few 'feelers' he tried...

oh no guilt here, when he left to go to the library(to do resumes ) he goes i love you. i said i love you too and THATS why i do what i do. and he hugged and kissed me.

Believe me they know that what you are saying to them IS for the best...and that it's comes from a place of love...Like you said Nat your DS "thanks you for straightening him out ".
They will thank you years from now for doing that.

Why do you have to find him a job...like Nat said, he should be treating finding a job as a full-time job in itself.

oh Love.. that sucks.. we had a flood 2x in 6 months a couple years back. just got everything replaced and bam.. was NOT nice at all. i really hope everything is ok there.

Thanks Mrs S. I think were all on pins and needles today...as it's suppose to rain again...and we're all wondering if it might flood again...(lots of praying being done here).
A couple of people are suppose to come today...Hydro to check to see if the power can be turn back on, and the insurance said yesterday that they would be sending someone out today.
So we'll see how the day goes for them...

Looks like a few nice days ahead of us (not that any have been bad for the past couple of weeks!), 27, 28, 29!
The kids fly into Toronto from Vegas today, and will drive home or stay with her DH's brother there and drive back
in the morning depending on how they feel...sounds like they had a great time, but omg, I've sure been missing her
and our 8am morning chats when she gets to her office.......

I hope there's sunshine in everyone's day today....stay well and safe....Huggles to you all...!!!!

It IS cooler today! Not happy about that at all.....but it is calling for 24, so hopefully it'll at least feel warmer, if not sunny...it's cloudy today....'the kids' have decided to drive home from Toronto after their flight home from Vegas; they hope to sleep on the plane...gosh, don't Moms worry, though??!! I won't stop worrying until they're home......

And, gah, went to turn the fan and WHAM - two blades broke off! Yes, they are enclosed in the cage, but wowsers was it ever loud.
So we're down another fan... that makes three broken ones.
Husband needs to check two of them to see if they are fixable, but one is toast.

will be painting the front window frame today and if my puttying job worked yesterday , painting the pantry as well. maybe even the stair rails too. and with dh gone all day it should be 'one of those days'.

What a beautiful day here today - nice and cool with the sun shining! Finally the humidity is gone! I was awesome sleeping last night without the ac on! I was actually chilly with the window open!

Invitations ordered for the wedding! Was not expecting to order so soon but the place I got them from was having a 3 day 40% off sale for their anniversary...I saved over $300!
