Hello folks- what looked so dark last night has taken a turn for the better. DH's fever broke early this morning. They have isolated a streptochocal infection and are now using targeted antibiotics. Not out of the woods, definitely but could talk to his kids on the phone and eat this morning. I could sob with relief.

May I ask for your prayers? DH has been admitted to hospital with a Septic blood infection. Family has been called. Next 24 hours will be crucial. Let's hope his weakened body can fight this awful bug- yet to be named.
Just home grabbing a few hours of sleep.

Hello, everyone....so sorry I haven't been on here to visit with you, but it's so difficult to sit at this computer. The days are still pretty rough, exercises hurt, I sleep a lot, haven't much of an appetite, but I think rest is important...as is gingerale, thank heavens for it!!

Thank you for your reps, PMs, offers of support and prayers. I know we don't all know each other personally, but it's still a comfort having people "out there" who are sending healing thoughts even when I can't be on here myself.

@avoncallingu I just read the relief in your update post about DH's infection? He is still on my prayer list despite this improvement. Stay strong!! @Lynn49 , love the new smiley on crutches in your signature! Seems unfair when just sitting at a chair can cause such pain, but I know from past injuries it is true. Feel better very soon.

Very quiet Sunday here for us. Everyone is either catching up on missed sleep or eating????

I've done some online shopping, nothing serious - when someone offers free shipping, I shall take a look!

Milan is coming for supper, so I've been prepping for that, and getting food in the oven and on the stove - ribs and sides. I have a hurt back and knees, so it's slow going and I have to stretch out the work over time.

Unfortunately, husband is down with a bit of a flu - nothing serious, hoping it's just a 24 hour bug (and that I don't get it!). Biggest problem when he's sick is that he doesn't eat or drink anything - which is obviously not right, and I become a nagger/pusher - at least juice, c'mon!

Hoping things get better for us all!
