But in defense to the 'imagine what they look like when your old and saggy' comments... Who is honestly looking all that hot when they are old and saggy....

I wouldn't get one but almost everyone I know has them (I'm in my late 20's). I think if it's done well they are sexy on guys. I guess I'm old fashioned when it comes to girls having tattoos, I don't think they should have them, but it's their bodies and they can do what they want. When people ask me if I have any, I say "you don't put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari" lol

When my kids were teens, they begged, nagged, pouted to get tattoos. I said nope, but when you are 19(adult age in BC)...do what you want.
They are now 26 and 28. No tats or piercings(other than DD's ears). They are unique among their friends. Very counter-culture!

Honestly, it all comes down to the tattoo, and placement. Tramp stamp are tacky. Don't do it.
But pieces that can be considered artwork are amazing. Quotes are fun, but I prefer more obscure, everyone and their mom has something like 'love life', be original!
Lastly, and I hope I don't offend anyone, but I really dislike cartoony ones. I find those to be just plain tacky.
But I don't have any tattoos, I could never afford too. And I don't think I could decide on something, although I think a Lotus flower with the stem wrapped around the wrist as a bracelet would be neat.

I appreciate all expressions of individuality that do not represent hatred. Most people are not trying to communicate "sexy" with their tattoos. In most cases the tattoo tell a story of commemoration for an event, a person or an attitude. The decorative adornment of particular body parts could be considered sexually enticing in certain cultures. I believe that if the wearer of decorative adornment feels sexy, it is worthwhile.

They're definitely edgy and it defines you as somewhat of a risk-taker and bit of a rebel.
These days less so as more people have them but it still hasn't lost that stigma.
It's interesting that more women are getting tattoos now. The earliest tattoos were found
on female mummies. Those tattoos were related to sensual and erotic images. So there is a
erotic element in tattoos from the very beginning.
I've seen some that are beautiful, cute, scary and yep, sexy. The best things in life...aren't things

Myself and my bf are very much inked, we are in the mid 30`s to 40`s range and I find tattoos very attractive, the larger the better. My tattoos and me and define my personality, as all good tats should. I think the younger generation (late teens-20`s) have made some very very poor choices of tattoos i have seen. I generally tell people to wait until 25 when you know yourself a little better.
AGAIN TATTOOS ARE VERY SEXY WHEN DONE RIGHT and even on an 80 yearold!!

For me, personally, Noomi Rapace's tattoo in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was sexy. The tattoo for Rooney Mara in the American remake was not but the movie was better made and truer to the book than the Swedish version which I also enjoyed.
BTW: In case you don't know the title in Swedish of the original book does not reference tattoos.

It's all a matter of personal taste, but I've never seen a tatoo on a guy that I thought was sexy. On women, I think something small and pretty on the shoulder or ankle can look nice, but it's not something I would ever do myself.
