I officially feel ridiculous, but stalking SC has slowly become one of the only things that is getting me through this last leg of pregnancy. Seriously. I came down with a cold just before the weekend so feel extra 'fantastic' so I'm basically sitting here stalking my subscribed threads. Learning more about what you guys and your families are all like is kinda my escape!!! Thanks everyone!!!

. so far i've only scanned the pages but i think most of the questions that were asked have already been covered in my original list including the shelf elf BTW. My husband is obsessed with finding one of those puppies for my son but ive only ever found the stupid expensive ones so far

I love to bake! Muffins are usually what I bake, cupcakes or cookies for an occasion (b-day etc) cakes or pies not so frequently! I also make banana bread and carrot loaf - would like to try more 'spice' type loaves, but haven't gotten to them yet!

I want to like David's Tea but the only two times I went, I managed to pick something I didn't like. What kind are you guys drinking?

I have never had David's Tea! I love tea though, so buddy if you have a favourite that you'd like to share, I'd be thrilled (not a big cinnamon or pumpkin fan though)

Wine? not really....Strawberry Wild Vines for girls weekend in the summer but that's about it

I use mixes and also bake from scratch, depends on what I am making - cupcakes are always from the the mix though

Favourite Christmas treat? Stuffing, shortbread, nanaimo bars, egg nog, pot of gold (milk chocolate ones)

My hubby has an OBSESSION with garden gnomes, when he dies he wants to be cremated, then mixed with cement and made into a set of two garden gnomes - one for each daughter, who on receiving said gnome must sign an agreement PROMISING to take him in the house in the winter. He also thinks he should start a business offering this service to other people - is this our million $$$ idea???
I got him a t shirt a while ago with 4 gnomes on the front and it says 'Just chillin' with my Gnomies' hahahah. He wears it all the time.

He loves the Walking Dead graphic novels/books, he has up to vol. 3 and also has Rise of the Govenor, so vol 4 and after would be great - ooh or those fancy plastic protectors for them (may come from comic store?)

Fav treat? KitKat, Reese PB cups, Sour Cream & Bacon chips, Big Turk, Cadbury fruit & nut bars

Item he is running out of? Irish Spring bar soap, instant coffee (Nescafe rich - red label)

Coffee, Tea, Hot choc? coffee - McDonalds coffee, nescafe rich instant, we have a Keurig, an assortment of bold coffees would be great, tea - only from timmy's, hot choc - nothing fancy, sometimes with Bailey's added

Adult bevvie? beer, usually Keystone Lite, but varies depending on what he sees when he shops lol

Hobby? home and garden stuff, camping, fishing, cooking, online poker

Sports? Nope, I'm the sporty one lol

Question for my adult & kids buddies - What would be your most wished for item? Noticed you guys left that answer out on your WL's!!

I think this is a loaded question; a seasoned SC'er trying to throw us off! I will answer, nonetheless

My most wished for items are a pink travel mug (like the idea of the one at CIBC b/c it is in support of Run For the Cure, so donates to a Charity at the same time; would love any with pink on it though!) and a two or three tier cupcake stand.

For the kids, a card mailed seperately and addressed specifically to each of them would make their day, as kids LOVE getting mail!

That dip sounds yummy can you share the recipe? Most layered dips I see have seafood (yuck!) in them. Thanks

1 block softened cream cheese
1 500mL container sour cream
1 - 2 chopped green onions

Combine in bowl until well blended and smooth, spread evenly in glass baking dish.
Spread salsa over top of mixture.
Cover with 300 - 500 g shredded medium cheddar cheese (Normal people would probably use half a block; we are cheese loving people and I use one full block).
Sprinkle with 2 -3 chopped green onions.
Cover and chill for 30 minutes.

Serve with Tostitos Scoops

Okay so weird buddy question ( starting to think I use that word way to much to describe myself I am harmless I promise as long as I have my daily dose of chocolate) Any ho I am surprising my 2 children with ticket to Jeff Dunham on 2 Nov they have no idea I told then I have to attend a ovarian cancer survivorship conference on Saturday so we have to go up to the city to stay in a hotel. My DS Loves him and is going to freak out. So my question is Buddy is there any chance you are as huge of fan of Jeff Dunham as we are because I will definitely add a little souvenir if you are.

LOVE Jeff Dunham! He is hilarious, although I am not a fan of dust collectors, so not sure I would appreciate a souvenir

oh and another question.. buddy do you have a Scentsy machine?

I do not know what that is, but it sounds like something to do with an airfreshener and I am allergic.

Whether you are my buddy or not, I would be happy to send you a tin of baked goodies when I do my Christmas bake the week before Christmas (Wouldn't make the maildate cut-off, but you are close, so should make it there before Christmas! )

We have a small sun room attached to our house (was used as a greenhouse) approx 4x8 -it has a sloped roof facing south -so DH built a pop can solar heater (warms air as it passes through a maze of black pop cans).

We have solar panels on the roof powering fans for the pop can heater to keep warm air moving into the room and cooler air moving into the heater. The idea is we can hang laundry to dry year round -regardless of weather. Sounds a little nuts....but works well. We're in the process of going off grid.

I'll take a picture of the inside once DH finishes working in there.....we've still got to put the washer in and hang the clothes lines.

From scratch!!! (One exception...my grandmother's Pumpkin Pie (which is THE BEST pumpkin pie, by the way!) recipe calls for a can of pumpkin pie filling...
I have such a love of food, I just cannot choose a favorite, although I do look forward to my creamy lemon squares (my grandma's recipe, also).

Oh my goodness...
I just found out that my mom has to have heart surgery on Monday morning, so I will be heading up to Ottawa this weekend to be there and go with her.
It has been a couple of days since I was on, so I thought I would check in;

My kid sare also teens. Only things you can't send are bees, wasps and penicillin. Those are the only allergies so unless you are a beekeeper or are growing mold spores I think we are safe

wow, thanks Jezebel, I hope that wasn't too much trouble. I'm having so much fun with this train. every day I check to see what people are saying and asking. I feel so anxious though, i went shopping today and only found one thing for my buddy. kind of can't wait till halloween is over so the christmas stuff comes out.

Hey buddy what is your favourite body shop scent? I have never actually been , but do love Cucumber scented products. I am allergic to flowery/perfuny scents. Really liked a Christmas (it was a baked good scent) hand soap someone gave me last year.

I would only ever spend my last $20 if my kids desperately needed something; otherwise, I would stash that away for an emergeny. I would NEVER leave myself penniless...

I am looking for a cake pop baking pan.....

Jezebel I make cake pops all the time and I've tried the pan and find them dry, you can just bake your cake, crumble it up and add about a half a cup of icing to the crumbs, mix it all in and then take about a tablespoon and a half of the icing and cake mixture and roll it into a ball, chill the cake balls in the fridge for a few hours and voila you are are ready to dip them in chocolate They are super yummy!!

It's awesome for un-crafty people like me who can't make stuff, and a place to find neat vintage things. etsy.com It's like an online craft show and garage sale all in one I have bought a lot of things on there, like when I switched to un-paper towels I got a cool wet bag that hangs on my stove to put all the dirty ones in, and the cloth towels too, and I got reuseable Swiffer covers so I can wash them. I even got training pants for my boy on there because I wanted to use cloth ones. I also got mamacloth on there... yeah I think I use a lot of cloth substitutes lol. Hmm. Any way! You should totally check it out (and no I don't sell anything on there or make anything from promoting it lol)
