Clearly my brain is much, cause I forgot to answer this.
What is the story behind one of your scars?
I have many. The first one I got when I was about 6. I was out playing on a hill & stupidly fell down. But unlike Jack n Jill who broke their crowns, I landed on a piece of broken glass & sliced my left wrist open.
What do you "know now" that you wish you "knew then"?
Not to make long term plans...they don't work out the way ya think they should.
Have you ever won a trophy?
Some academic awards when I was a kid. Nothing sports related (my presence on a team guaranteed their losing the game
).
What subject do you wish you had paid more attention to in school?
I was obsessed with school - if I'd paid more attention, my head would've exploded.
If you could have a drink with someone from history who would it be?
Dr Banting - if he hadn't discovered insulin, I'd be long gone. I'd love to buy him a drink.
What is your favorite thing about your mom?
My Mom is perfect (other than being a little ocd about cleaning - & making sure things are done a certain way on a certain day at a certain time...or else).
What song do you love to dance to?
Anything 80s. Or Broadway tunes (just ask the cat).
What was the worst punishment your parents ever enacted?
My Mom is the queen of guilt trips. One word about how I'd disappointed my parents was worse than if I'd been beaten to within an inch of my life.
Who was the best boss you ever worked for?
My first job (while in university) was at a car wash. My boss loved me cause I was a happy willing worker, eager to learn all I could. He taught me all there was to know about running a small business. Whenever things were slow, I was welcome to do homework & study on company time.
What restaurant do you love even though you know you shouldn't?
Red Lobster. Those cheese buns are my nemesis.
If you did not need the money what would you do for work?
What I'm doing now - hanging out at a theatre.
If you had an extra room in your house what would you use it for?
If I didn't live in a studio (ie no doors, except the bathroom), I'd already be doing this. I'd take in little lost souls until a family could be found. I'd prefer doggies, but I would happily welcome kitties into the fold.
What grown-up job did you want to have when you were a child?
When I was 5 I announced to my parents that I was going to be a geologist. Then my Mom burst my bubble by reminding me I'd have to go out to remote places where there were bugs. When I switched my career aspirations to Egyptologist, she mentioned that scarabs were a necessity for that job.
If you had a time machine and you could go back and change anything, what would it be?
This is a hard one. A family member was killed by a drunk driver. I would love to go back & warn him so he didn't die such a painful horrific death. But that would have changed too many lives.
What smell reminds you of home?
My home always seems to smell of peanut butter cookies baking. My parents' home also smells of baking, but more a cinnamon or vanilla scent.
Where are you most likely to be at 8:00 on a Saturday night?
Either watching a play or at a concert. On the rare occasion I'm home, I'm playing with the brats.
What job did you have that you would never want to work again?
While in university I had a job that did inventory work for other stores. The worst job we did was Canada's Wonderland - do you have any idea how annoying it is to try to count keychains & other souvenirs while people are shopping???
Have you ever been on tv?
Once upon a time, I worked as an extra (I wanted to get an up close look at the behind the scenes stuff - I was fascinated by the techies). If anyone remembers a show called Earth Final Conflict, you can see me for about half a second getting off a cross country flight, feeling woozy & being helped.
What poem do you have committed to memory?
Many. At one point, I had over 300 memorized. Robert Frost's Fire And Ice is one of my favourites:
Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire
Yet if I had to perish twice
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
What band would you camp out all night to get tickets to see?
I've always been too lazy to do this. The closest I came was when I stood in line for an hour to get Bryan Adams to sign a book he was promoting. It was a birthday present for my best friend, so when he asked who he should dedicate the signature to & I said "Susan", he started singing Wake Up Little Susie.

I took my Mom to see Meat Loaf a few years back. Not quite the worst concert ever (that honour (?) goes to Sass Jordan, who I had the misfortune of seeing as an opening act twice, a year and a half apart, & both times she was soused & fell down), but close. He spent the whole concert trading barbs with a then-familiar, now-obscure comic who heckled him throughout the show. Grrrr.
I would go see Madonna in a heartbeat. I saw her in concert back in my youth, & it was akin to a Broadway spectacle.

What is the story behind one of your scars?
I have a scar on my left thigh (about 4 inches), that I got when I was about 3.
It was at a Christmas party and some trashy family's kid pushed me off a stone fireplace.
It bled a lot and though I vaguely remember it (I was hysterically crying) I think we went to the hospital.
I resent him till this day!! lol

Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

What restaurant do you love even though you know you shouldn't?

Not knowingly...
