like I said I agree with limiting but they should tell us what the limit is....

Even the easiest questions that we as customers know the answers to..they have to get help to answer. I answer all kinds of questions on there if I know the answer to it. Even when I know the answer...the SDM rep will come back with a totally different answer that is NOT right. For instance someone asked how many times you can redeem per day on redemption days. I said 2x on each day of a redemption weekend per card. On any other day you can redeem as many times as you want. Of course the SDM rep comes back and says its 2 times a day..it won't let you redeem more then that on any day.
While I can appreciate that you are trying to help the rep was sorta right on this one. The terms and conditions say 2 per day at any level. So that means it's 2 no matter the weekend promo. But the computer won't limit you.

The facebook is a huge joke. I complained once, they asked for the store then never did anything. When I called in and mentioned I was ignored on the facebook group the rep laughed and said "always call in, don't use the facebook group"

I do find they are more likely to actually sort out your problem if the FB rep has them call you though - some of the CS reps are particularly unhelpful in general

Right....but defining "reasonable household quantities" is the sticky part. If I have triplets, 20 tubs of wipes may be normal household use for me. Maybe I use 20 tubs in a whole year just on my own (and at roughly 60 - 70 per tub, just to take off makeup daily, that would be 12 right there) and decided to buy them all at once. They have to be able to show that my consumption is unreasonable (say, 500 tubs for a single person home - that, I'd say, would be unreasonable to the "reasonable man", which is the test it has to pass).

And just because they take them away doesn't mean they wouldn't have to give them back under estoppel by laches. They don't just get to arbitrarily rescind the offers that they've made publicly in their flyer without notice being duly provided to the end consumer, to wit, posting of signs, etc., notifying the consumer that limitations have been put into effect. That's why we see signs posted with errata on the front doors of stores that have made errors in their flyers - because they know that, by law, they are contractually bound to offer what's in their flyer UNLESS they post limits or error notices.

They just don't have their act together. Their marketing and legal teams need to sit down and talk.

LOL...maybe I should go work for SDM.

Many many people have been using the excuse that its for charity and seem to think saying that is ok, but this says NO. (I know there are some who give to charities honestly) but there are alot that don't or if they do its only because they get something out of it. Like tons of points or overage. If we want shoppers to follow their rules then we must also. JMO

OMG, I got heart attack when I first read your post Sharkie, I am having more than 1 million points now ( I got 60 chocolate bars and 20 Huggies tubes) so I really spent lot of money at SDM. If they did this to me I definitely have to start a lawsuit then.

@Screamy : how much you're gonna charge me an hour lol?
