Many many people have been using the excuse that its for charity and seem to think saying that is ok, but this says NO. (I know there are some who give to charities honestly) but there are alot that don't or if they do its only because they get something out of it. Like tons of points or overage. If we want shoppers to follow their rules then we must also. JMO
You're misreading it. Individuals can give these items to charities, they are saying the charities themselves are not eligible for cards.

And charities are eligible for cards, you just have to apply for them differently and different rules apply which are sent to the charity

Yes I am misreading it, I'm thinking these people that are saying to the managers "I am donating this to charity" shouldn't be allowed, they sound like they are representing the charity or organization.

    Thanks

I do fin d it hard to believe that me buying the 17 Nivea that it would set a record for all of Ontario...lol...but again they should say what the limits are....they even told me I could buy more Nivea without the coupons though...that is just not fair..because the item is free there is a limit...

I honestly don't think 17 is unreasonable. I have purchased up to 20 of body wash and shampoo and conditioners at a time on sale as I have 5 adult girls and 3 adult boys (children and partners) in my home and the girls will go through 2-3 bodywash and we go through maybe 3-4 shampoo and condition in a week. We don't use bar soap but if we did 17 would not last long. Years ago we had a discussion in our home about bars vs. bodywash and after the boys laughed and said they just rub the bar of soap around their bodies and of course their butt cracks, bar soap went in the garbage.

Absolutely correct Screamy! I think the members on here need to push their comments onto the SDM page though because if they don't their public won't know about it and they won't see these comments. I for one would have no problem with starting a Class Action Law Suit against them. They can't do it after the fact. As well as a I stated before one's personal opinion of reasonableness is never the same as anothers. They should always post a limit.

I have resolved not to get stressed about this. I really would seriously file a claim against them if they took my points away, and there isn't a judge in the province who would rule in their favour.

They didn't post limits, my purchases were not at egregious levels (and even if they were, again - no limits were posted at the stores and no one batted an eyelash and said "this is too much for 'normal household consumption'" when I bought the ones I did), and while they have the right to amend their program as they see fit, they would only be able to do it on a go-forward basis. They might take their sweet time getting my points back to me, but ultimately, they would have to see the sense in basic contract law being on my side, not theirs, in this instance.

They REALLY need to figure things out BEFORE they have their sales. I'd have no issues complying with the terms of the deals, whatever they were...but they need to be set out in advance, not after the fact.

All the outrage last Mega bonus on their FB pagewas absolutely pointless. Didn't help at all.
We've already established whoever is running the FB page has no clue what is going on about ANYTHING.
Their heads are so far up their butts they can't figure anything else out.
Drag this to their page and the next thing they will be doing is freezing everyone's cards who used the coupon.

what they are doing is discriminating against you.

they are saying that there is no limit, but if you pay for the item using a coupon, they will block you and penalize you.

i believe that someone high up in SDM has some link or association with someone in consumer protection. how else do they get away with screwing their customers up the wazoo?

Well I guess I haven't seen those threads before they get deleted..

I know there has been a lot of abuse of different coupons..but the fact is people are still going to do it until all the MF's change their restrictions.

I'm tired of trying to explain myself when I shouldn't even be bothering. Its not worth it. People like you are going to judge me and others who got lots of the wipes or lots of any other product no matter what. I can't imagine what its like to be a PERFECT person.

There have been alot of changes in coupons from companies like P&G, Aspirin, and lots of others directly because of the use and abuse of these coupons.

Zantec and Nexus coupons have been talked to death on here and an old subject. Shoppers issues are new and happening right now, that is why nobody is posting about them.

I am not sure what you mean by people like you. I don't recall mentioning you at all.I have only given my opinion about how I feel about people buying up huge quantities for points knowing full well what was going to happen especially after the chocolate bar promo. The way you post with your cursing and such makes me think you feel quilty about the amount you purchased.

I to would like to know what it's like to be PERFECT.
