You know...sometimes I feel downright tiny!!!
This can't be possible........just....why? I know. I'm being insensitive. It's the mood I'm in.

Today was a bit weird because I had to take Oreo to the vet first thing so I missed breakfast. Since it is DH's first day of vacation we went to brunch, I was good, tomatoes, potatoes and toast lol. Lunch was a bowl of cherries , supper was chinese noodles with steamed carrots, kale and edamame.
I am also feeling bloated and I think it might be the corn. I caved yesterday and bought some for supper last night. I think I will have to stop it.
I also made 20 jars of raspberry jam YUM! Got 2 cases on special at the market because they were too ripe. $15 each for 12 baskets. It comes to about $2 a jar (500ml) factoring in the sugar and certo. We don't eat that much but my folks love it. At their age they can have a little sugar. They are doing really great on the vegetarian diet too. Not sure if I mentioned it before but my mom is off Metformin and her BP meds. My dad is off Lipitor and Diovan. The doctor was pretty amazed.
I am going to the market to see if I can get some cheap strawberries for jam and then tomorrow blueberry picking.

Walks....absolutely true...some days I feel quite amazing for my age...other times I'm looking for signs that I'm wearing out...probably on those 'bloated' days....Take care, Sweets!

Said no to a hot dog cart, while everyone but me ate a hot dog. It is hard to say no when other people aren't. My dinner tasted that much better at the wedding. I also only ate half my prime rib (the smaller of two pieces), no alcohol or cake and ONE coke that was mostly ice. Feeling good. I am going to record my nos once and a while. It feels like success when I do.

good morning everyone! The 1st of 3 days off. nice extra to de-stress. Patty I agree with the corn, well I gave it up because of GMO initially but I find it is a veg I do not crave or miss. Plus it was always considered a " starch " like sweet green peas, not so much a free veggie ( the kind they say eat as much as you like)

Jeepers Patty, I forgot to say how sorry I am about Oreo...how on earth did it happen? I can't imagine
a little critter being side-lined....hope he's better very soon...
Granger, you're much stronger than I am!! Congratulations for all those "no/s"! And good idea about recording successes; it seems we beat ourselves up for our failures, yet forget about the many good decisions we make...good on ya!!
Walks..enjoy your wee holiday and your decompressing!
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!

So we went on a little drive to farm country which is actually just over the river about 30 minutes. I found a secret blueberry place, very tiny , they seem to just be doing it for extra cash since their 250 acre farm does potatoes commercially. All the better for us we had the place all to ourselves muahahahahaha. We picked 25 lbs of blue berries. On the way back we stopped by a strawberry farm that we had been to before and she sold me cases of giant mid-season strawberries for $20 instead of $30, so I got 3 cases. Now I better get off my butt and do some more jam. I will have enough jam for at least a year now.
Oh and she said when the time comes I can call them and they will make some 50lb bags of potatoes for us.!!! Yahoooo
