The fun's over! It's time for an Easter (Sunday, March 31) Challenge!

This wedding weekend ended up being long, stressful, and expensive for all of us. I ended up doing last minute errands for the bridal part...like picking up the bridesmaid's bouquets less than 2hrs before the wedding because the brother of the bride left all of the bouquets with the bride. I ended up with food poisoning last night from the the wedding supper, haven't checked to see how many others got sick from it. Pretty sure the pasta salad was the culprit because dh and LO didn't get sick. I'm glad that I only have one additional child today. I am hoping to have a nap this afternoon when they are both napping.

I have slowly gone up a few pounds, but I'm not really sure what from. I'm eating ok, but I think water retention might be part of it. I drink quite a bit of water throughout the day and milk with meals. I rarely drink pop or juice. I don't drink coffee or tea. I do know that I am an emotional eater. I have been eating my breakfast and lunch later in the day because I have been eating after my daycare kids are done eating their meals, I just find it easier that way.

Down 1 Been trying to eat out of the garden this week. Lots of greens , tomatoes, beans, peas. After a rather piggish BBQ at my place last Saturday I feel like down 1 is pretty decent lol.

Kiera and me went blueberry picking this week, we managed to pick 28 lbs in about an hour. The berries were like clusters of grapes and almost the size of them too. So good , froze most of them and we have been snacking on them all week. I may go back today weather permitting.

I tried waiting to re-weigh myself after seeing a disappointing 3/4 lb loss for the week, but I'll have to accept it, the scale doesn't lie. Patty congrats on making some headway downwards, your garden was nice to you and fun to read about Blueberry heaven for you and Keira!!

Patty, that is unheard of! As kids my brother and I used to go blueberry picking with our parents....oh, those pies!...and my hubby and I went for many years, but never, ever saw anything like what you described! Almost worth the drive over there!

Tsk, tsk, tsk.....let's not be greedy now, Walks...many of us would love that kind of loss, esp those of us whose hubby forces her to have ice-cream every night at 9 pm while watching My Kitchen Rules and as if that's not bad enough, bakes oatmeal-raisin cookies!
That 13 lb loss since my fall my be dwindling.

The place we got to is about 30km from here and is the same place I buy my flowers from. She has 5000 blueberry bushes that are 15 years old. They are awesome , I will take a pic. next time I am there.

Unbelievable...honestly! We only have wild berries and have to go traipsing around in a forest....how lucky for you! Of course everyone knew or knows where the "best" places are, and they're kept quite secret or only shared among friends...Enjoy those gorgeous, healthy berries!

Ok, so I looked back in my thread posts to find out the dates of when I weighed what. I weigh the same low weight again as I did on July 2nd. I weighed +4lbs on July 28th. It looks like majority of the "weight gain" was from water retention. I want to make some progress with the weight loss again this month.

I had to order a $300 brides maid dress for a Halloween wedding, and it would be great to feel comfortable in it in front of everyone. I'd also like to have the least amount of alterations necessary. The dress comes with optional spaghetti straps. We are also planning our next baby, my next pregnancy, so weight loss would also be beneficial for that. Just have to keep motivated.

Good luck, Angela..."calories count, so count "em"! And yes, as much as I do not enjoy the stuff, water really does make a big difference.

good morning Angela, you sound like you have a couple of terrific reasons to continue losing. I have looked back and forth too in a few of my past weight journals, some time it is encouraging ( because I know it can be done!) but then when I am at this point of a stall/not really gaining or losing ( my own doing ) that part can be aggravating for me.

This week is likely a bust as far as losing anything, but I have not gained since last Friday's weigh in so whew!
We all have to just keep plugging away I suppose. Isn't it funny how both last week and this week I have gotten two compliment/inquiries from 2 different neighbour's saying " hey you've lost weight! " that sort of thing.
I did confess to them that I am a work in progress and I have much much more to lose and of course as sweet as they are saying " you look fine, you don't need to go lower "
How can a person not let that sort of stuff go to their heads eh? Honestly felt like indulging but I know better. lol

I looked back over the last 8 months and found out my "danger" month is May. Not surprised as this is the kids birthdays and out anniversary. I am up 10 lbs since January but it feels like 30 . Not sure why it's all in the belly. Oh well carrying on.
