Omg, dh and i are such suckers!!!

I'll try to make this short since I can't make paragraphs, it all runs together. Leaving flea market today down here in Texas, we saw this guy selling tiny puppies out of the back of his half ton truck. Dh says what kind of dogs are those and how much? The guy says in broken English, they're a Wiener dog X Shih Tzu Dh say how old? Guy say 4 weeks I say, way to young to be away from mom, guy says, I don't care, grabs one by the neck and says want to see one. I say ya, the tiny, tiny one huddled in the corner by itself. I'm angry by this point, no water, no food and no shelter from the hot sun! This tiny thing doesn't weigh more than 8 or 10 ounces and is shaking. So ya...we're suckers, the guy wanted $35, and I gave him $25 and took this tiny little girl hoping to save her life. We stopped at Petco and got a bottle and some formula to feed her, and some puppy mousse (a special dog food for preemies). So we bring her home (she snuggles on my dh's neck the entire way home, asleep). Our dog Marley greets us at the door when we get home, and she starts sniffing. She checks out this tiny thing, and is not sure what to make of it. I put the tiny thing on the sofa while I get a bottle ready to try and feed it. Marley jumps up on the sofa and lies down beside it. I'm lucky the puppy took a few drinks of the formula and then pooped (I had a doggy pad down...yes I bought a bunch of stuff for the poor thing) and then went under the coffee table looked around a bit then fell asleep again. Marley jumped down from the sofa and is lying beside the table where the puppy is. Sooo, I think that part will be fine, I'm hoping the poor thing makes it. We need to name it now, but I'm afraid to incase it doesn't make it. Here are her first baby pictures. So may I introduce to you....baby (for now)

About a name, since it is a Shih Tzu and since it is close to Chinese New Year and since you rescued the dog, may be you can call it Lucky

Yep, only so much tinier, we are going to call her Maggie because we already have my dh - Mel, and my little dog Marley, so we might as well have a Maggie too

Oh, Holly...bless your sweet hearts! I almost got all teary-eyed....what a sweet little girl, and she looks like a Maggie...it seems she's got an angel on her shoulder, finding you and a warm and loving home, but she also looks like a survivor and fighter (in a nice way). I wanted to name our DD Maggie, lol, so I love the name!
Keep us posted...geez, between you and Walks, our pet family is increasing...can you FEEL THE LOVE??!!!
