Thread: Walmart coupon policy changes
-
Sat, Mar 17th, 2012, 11:44 AM #1
I was at walmart yesterday and the cashier had the manager come investigate all my coupon because apparently the coupons they accept is changing and she wanted to be sure she was accepting proper coupons. I asked what the changes are and my response was "it's complicated". She says all she knows is they won't be as open to accepting all coupons anymore but doesn't really understand the details. If anyone understands the changes can you share please? I hate looking forward to a deal and not able to get it in the end. Thanks!!!

I haven't heard anything of this sort except that maybe stores would be stricter in accepting coupon. Anymore details?

I was at my walmart last night(kingston,on) and she told me that they are not accepting competitor coupons anymore, at least at my walmart. I didn't push it even though their coupon policy has not been officially updated, as I was using many coupons and only one was denied.

could be that the "Coupon Zone" coupons are finally being stopped as they are not to be used a Walmart unless there is a final price stated on the coupon itself ie like the Rexall ones say - save $1.00 when you use this coupon $2.99 each

i dont think most of the coupon zone ones were supposed to be used in the first place anyway. (except the manufacturer ones obviously)
perhaps they are just cracking down on these ones with cashiersFeel free to use my shop.ca referral link! Tons of products and great deals! http://www.shop.ca?plcktb=ZwVwXmoC0

Competitor coupons are no longer being accepted at the Walmarts in my city. (Red Deer, AB)
There were a few different incidents that caused this rule change. The last one was 2 Walmarts being totally cleared of Lysol wipes in a matter of hours using a Rexall coupon.

Ok good, I hope that's all it is. I can deal with competitors coupons but I really hope they will be accepting other coupons

Last week at my walmart in Oshawa they wouldn't take my websavers. However, yesterday my friend used the exact same coupon at the same location so I called their customer service. They told me they are taking all coupons with the exception of the Loblaws/Superstore coupon zone coupons.

I think Walmart was a bit stupid to have such lenient policies with allowing overage and accepting CZ coupons. Unfortunately, the show Extreme Couponing has ruined things for couponers, not to mention people who clear shelves, however, if stores are going to allow people to buy in unlimited quantities that's their fault, too.

Yikes! You'd think that they would be happy for the business! I mean really. Walmart is ALWAYS trying to take away business from the little guy so why can't they accept a few coupons?
Obviously they should NOT have accepted the Loblaws/Superstore Coupon Zone coupons but I guess that's what happens when you mostly have young kids working at minimum wage sometimes. They probably weren't informed not to take those specific coupons.
Want to trade with me? Just updated my trade list.I really really need grocery FPCs & coupons!!! Happy mom of 3 young children
Will trade $50 in coupons for a $5 Amazon.ca e-gift card OR $100 in coupons for $10 grocery gift cards!
