But after this horrific event, people were offering to put total strangers up in their homes, offering all kinds of help. It's nice to see that.

This is what Boston heroism looks like

We don't know all their names. We don't know where they all came from. But the good people seemed to come from everywhere on a day when there was not too much good news in Boston. They are average citizens. They are marathon runners and football players. They are doctors and nurses and trained professionals. They are, in some small and often anonymous way, a part of all of us right now. And yet a whole lot more. As Mr. Rogers once said, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" These are some of the helpers we've met so far from Patriot Day.

I am heartbroken for the family of that 8 yr old boy. Not only has his sister lost her brother, she also has to learn how to walk again. I am praying that both her and her mom pull through. I know some people might not be as affected by it because "we aren't american" and the city is hours away from us, but these acts always affect me.

I'm on many wide boards and all of us are feeling and praying for the people who are affected and the city and the responders...

in the case of a foreign source being behind an attack, how long is it usually before that foreign source takes responsibility for the attack?

Newspaper in China names 3rd victim

The Shenyang Evening News said on its official Twitter-like microblog account that the victim’s name is Lu Lingzi. An editor at the newspaper said that Lu’s father confirmed his daughter’s death when reporters visited the family home. The editor declined to give his name because he was not authorized to speak to foreign media.

FBI may have suspect in bombings

Authorities may have identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, Reuters and CNN report.
The FBI is holding a press conference at 5:00 p.m. and may announce the news then. CNN attributed the news to an unnamed source, and reported that the breakthrough in the investigation came from analyzing department store surveillance video and video from a news station.
The Boston Globe reported that officials have found an image of "a suspect carrying, and perhaps dropping, a black bag at the second bombing scene."
An FBI spokesman in Boston declined to comment on the reports to Yahoo News.

I was just about to post this: apparently a video showed someone placing a bag down, likely known to police already, hence the identification that was made....Announcement at 5pm on CNN.
Much speculation, but a "source" close to the investigation told a CNN reporter: "We got him."

I'm thinking someone has been arrested, but that he can't YET be identified as a suspect in the bombing...too many news sites are reporting an arrest...curiouser and curiouser....
