Most of my family is American, and I was born there... we're not all bad!

Anyway... yes, it was really awful what happened It seems like nothing is safe anymore.

How scary and sad for all involved.

JFK Library fire - most likely not linked to marathon bombing
"Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis now says the 4:30PM library incident was in all likelihood not related to the Marathon explosions. It has been described as a mechanical fire from an "incendiary device", rather than a blast."

It's the death of that young boy that has hit me the worst....having a young grandson, I can't imagine what that family is going through....there is no punishment severe enough for whoever the devil was that did this. I know he or she will face judgement when they die, but I want them to suffer now!

8 yo named as Martin Richard

In his communion photograph, 8-year-old Martin Richard is smiling, adorably missing a few teeth, handsome and proud in his white suit. He holds a colorful communion banner. On it, a dove that symbolizes the Holy Spirit. On Tuesday, much of the was looking at that photo and struggling to comprehend the way Martin's life was stolen. He was watching the Boston Marathon on Monday, excited to see his dad cross the finish, CNN affiliate WHDH said. Two bombs exploded just off Copley Square in the heart of the city.
The boy was killed, authorities said.
Martin's mother, Denise, and his sister were grievously injured, The Boston Globe reported.

every nation, every ethnicity, cultural group, faith group has had a not so pretty past.

trying to lump people together on the actions of individuals takes us down a slippery slope.

lilPenguin is 8. But I just can't condone the amount of vigilante vengance which a lot of people are spewing around against people who have been convicted in the court of humam opinion and speculation.

NYP reported yesterday that a person of interest was under guard in a Boston hospital. However authorities are now saying that the man isn't a suspect but still I'm seeing a lot of

well, he's got brown skin, was running away from the bomb blast site had burns and smelt of gun-powder so he MUST have done it
followed by calls for this man to be publically lynched to stop others from committing such acts.

First clues suggest attack may be case of domestic terror

The deadly twin explosions that shattered the Boston Marathon initially look more like the work of domestic terrorists than an international terrorist network, researchers and analysts who study terrorism said on Monday. Early reports suggest that the devices were crudely made — otherwise, they probably would have killed many more people — making it unlikely that they were the work of a foreign government or global terrorist group, such as Al Qaeda, the experts said.
But the Boston Marathon is an unusually public event, giving hundreds of thousands of people easy access to the 26-mile route, and the bombs could have been set off by radical Islamists from the United States influenced by events or clerics in the Middle East, local extremists on either the left or right, or deranged killers with no ideological agenda.
Radical Muslims “will be everyone’s favorite suspect, but there are many other possibilities,” said Brian Michael Jenkins, a terrorism specialist at the Rand Corp.

NY Post's Saudi national story untrue BPD spokesman says

The New York Post‘s earlier report that a “Saudi national” was in guarded custody after the Boston Marathon bombing appears to have been an unconfirmed rumor, and Boston Police deny any part of the conjecture is true.

Update: BPD confirms that no suspect is in custody and no persons of interest are being questioned as of 6 PM EST.
Both NY Post and “Saudi national” were heavily buzzed about terms in social news this afternoon, but the story appears to have been entirely unconfirmed. According to the BPD, no individual is currently in custody in connection to the Boston Marathon bombing, and authorities on the ground in the city appear to be bewildered as to the source of the information.
As the Saudi Arabian national story spread, many expressed skepticism given the NY Post was the sole source of the Boston bombing arrest report.

honestly, i am not sure why a legitimate suspect would have been standing right by the bomb as it blew.

    http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/16/us/bos...html?hpt=hp_t1

"The search is linked to a young Saudi Arabian man in the United States on a student visa, the law enforcement source who spoke to CNN on Tuesday said.

Nothing was found at the apartment linking the man to the bombings, the source said, cautioning not to read too much into the search as investigators will be talking to numerous people.
The search took place by consent, according to another federal law enforcement source, meaning no search warrant was needed."

I agree anisa. Seems to me like they are looking for a quick catch in order to ease the fears. New information on how the bomb was constructed with a pressure cooker and a timer.

Interesting that my wanting them to suffer now was interpreted by you as vigilante justice. Finding them guilty and tossing them in a maximum security prison isn't vigilante justice: but they WILL suffer the consequences there! I want them to feel WHAT they did NOW! Hell. I want them to feel ANY sort of empathy towards the people they hurt and killed!
THAT was my reference to justice in the beyond: to FEEL the pain they inflicted! Only I want that for them NOW!

I agree to a point. But like my bumper sticker says" No War was ever started in the name of Wicca" you will never see a bunch of us going around hexing people. In fact, in small communities people are still on the broomcloset.
