a robin has chosen my outdoor wreath to make a nest and lay her eggs. It's a very quiet, sheltered part of the outside of the house. Sorry about the size of the pix.

Whenever I try to sneak a look around the corner, the mom flies away. I put my hand over the nest and it's surprising how warm it is. I don't touch it, of course. I'll keep us all "posted".

That's so beautiful! It looks like it's part of the design. Good thing it's out of the way!
My mom had a bird make a nest on her wreath on the door. The cat wouldn't leave the poor bird alone. A friend of mine had the same thing happen and whenever we would open the door, the bird would get mad and dive at us!

So cool, and a beautiful part of the decor, too!
We usually get a nest in a cedar at the side of our house - have noticed a bird collecting goodies to line the nest.

She must keep rotating the eggs because one of them has a scratch on the side (from her claw, I guess) - sometimes you see it, sometimes you don't. I was sitting on the back porch today and the mom was sitting on the fence keeping an eye on me. A black bird came along (not really near the nest) and she sure chased him away fast!
