People who 'like' companies on Facebook

I can't believe how stupid people are to essentially opt-in to advertising. It's really no different then saying they want to watch more commercials between shows. Who does that?

Facebook is nothing more than forced advertising now anyways.

I "like" companies to get my freebie, then I "unlike" so I do not have to see their ads after.

Best of both worlds.

FB is free - ads are a necessary evil.

It is easy enough to unlike them later or hide them from your feed

or use an alternate fb profile specifically for freebies and company likes.

Me too, and if it makes me stupid to like free things from companies on facebook, then I guess I'm stupid as you say.

If my facebook bothers you that much, then unfriend me.

Some times I Like them for freebies, and like others I unlike them afterwards. Some companies also routinely give out coupons.

Honestly, I could care less about advertisement. I just ignore it, and it doesn't interfere with my life.

I also use Swagbucks, which is basically just a source for companies to advertise and gather information. But I earn gift cards doing it, so it's worthwhile to me.

Personally I "like" companies on facebook because I LIKE them and LIKE their products!!! Sometimes I like just because its a give away or freebie, but seriously, I LIKE being able to see whats new with brands and products I like. Do I care if I give them free advertising?? No, facebook is free, Its not costing me anything to "like" them and on top of that its an awesome way to communicate with them as well with suggestions and comments. Don't let it get to you so much. wow.

I "LIKE" hundreds of companies and small handmade sellers on facebook. I also use the custom feeds that facebook offers to filter posts by just family or friends if I want to quickly see what's going on with friends and family without all the other stuff. Although I do like all the other stuff.

I use a separate facebook account to avoid spam on my newsfeed. Not really a big deal to me.

Colour me stupid. LOL I like a lot of pages on Facebook. I have received so many tips and freebies by doing so.

Yeah, I have a Facebook account in my cat's name! Companies have been very generous with coupons and freebies on Facebook, but I don't feel the world needs to know where I shop or what products I've liked, so I don't use the account with my name on it.
