Cath sorry to hear about your aunts. Cancer is horrible and it is truly amazing (not in a good way) how many it affects.

Sassy, I'm glad your guy got to a hospital early and they could take him into surgery fast. Best wishes to him and you for a quick recovery!

I went to help my db pick out glasses today but it turns out he has to get a voucher first from ODSP. I KNOW how expensive they can be - he has very "involved" issues with his eyes.

Just spent a very relaxing 1/2 hr sitting in our yard. The humidity seems to have dropped. It's been brutal for the last few days.

Cath, I'm very sorry to hear about your aunts! That's a hard blow to your family! Please know that I will send supportive thoughts your way!

ohh no baby blues sweet sparrow-we are all beautifull -my daughter has put a bit of weight on since her stressfull engagement and her job -and I am never critical of her size and I lost 20 pounds the past year and a half-gee I fit in to a few clothing articles she gave me to get rid of -so I gentley asked her what to do with them "she said mom if any fit you keep them" but I don't wear the shorts or dress around her-its hard to lose weight-we all struggle with it at one point in our life or another I am sure-my neighbour just brought over cheesecakes on a stick free for me -cause his wife is on a diet-so I had one -too sweet and the rest I will save for daughter-in-law baby shower

I have honestly given up on losing weight, I am an emotional eater and my emotions are everywhere right now and no matter what the emotion (happy, sad, stress) are all good emotions to eat.


My guys's sister emailed me late last night that she was at home and he was sleeping when she left the hospital. Didn't give many details but may be because they do not have any yet. I am trying to patiently wait for an update but well maybe just maybe I lack patients. I must learn to not look these things up online. Ok time to go back to work trying to distract myself but it is not working.

well have to get my eyes checked today with a specialist-I was referred 3 months ago -I went to buy glasses mine are chipped-so I wear an old pair-nope she said don't buy them til you see specialist I was told when I was 50 I had cateracts imagine -I think my eyes are a bit worse now a few years later -oh well-my son is taking me -cant drive with those awfull drops they put in -I am treating him to lunch for doing me this favour-he wants quiznos-so I will come prepared with a coupon -lets hope I do okay this afternoon

I was supposed to see my eye specialist a couple weeks ago but he was sick.

Your poor dog, he can't be blamed because of his past treatments or behaviors by his former owners. Poor dog, he is luck to have you and your dh, treats work wonders on doggie behaviours. glad that you were able to get into the dentist right away. take care

cath so sorry about your auntie's and jasper take care hon -well I had no internet last night our area was down-so her is my unfrugal day yesterday -took dog for needles -haven't don't that in years -well I was focusing on my sick mother-well he didn't like the vet and we could not get a muzzle on him-so they took him in another room and gave him the needles-the vet gave me a sheet on dogs -don't give him a treat until he does something like sit or paw-I guess he thinks he is a rotten dog all the time he is not -he was mistreated from 1 and a half(he knows commands-treat,walk play,lie down etc )-then we got him -so I was a little down about that -his behaviour -the paper from the vet -so I come home to finish my wet/dry vacumming of small chips of ceramic and as I am dumping the tin into a bag -I guess I kind of subcontiously gritted me front teeth and the corner chipped -so called dentist they took me in 10 minutes-its around the corner so 175.00 emergency dental work and I look good as new and 75.00 for the dog's needles so 250.00-not frugal at all except for the .75 cent herbal essence shampoo I got today with the 3.50 coupon -lolloh well that is life

Hey ladies. Sorry I've been MIA for the last few days. I've been training my "replacement" at work for when I go on mat leave on the days she is not in school, she still has a summer semester to get through. On top of that I've been extremely sick with a head cold, sore throat, congested, and just completely exhausted. There is nothing I can take being pregnant so I've been popping lots of vitamin C and trying to sleep as much as I can.

I just got back from a 3.5km walk. LO is asleep. I am having a snack and planning on heading back to bed. I got maybe 2-3hrs sleep in total last night. LO is teething and has not been sleeping well at night for a while now.

We ususally have a wedensday night phone call. I understand why she hasnt been home - funerals and opening of historical sites that they were invited as dignitaries for. I'm 17 hours away from her - should be getting to see her in july when we go to my moms to visit as my grandparents (both in their 80's - granddad will be 90 in sept) are going camping there.

can't belive you only paid $4.00 what a frugal purchase for a kitty, congrats on the new family member. Hope Moe and Tinker get along shortly.

Hi ladies, meet Tinker......I picked her up yesterday from the SPCA for $4 all shots, spayed, microchipped,etc. Talk about a good deal! She is very sweet and just starting to come around....this morning she met our "Moe" the self proclaimed King of the household lol. Lots of hissing and growling but I'm sure they will be friends in a few days.
