I was at Loblaws yesterday and the store had a bunker at the back with some of these: the beets, broccoli/zucchini and the spiral zucchini...bought about 20 in all. I make pickled beets, so thought this would be a good shortcut and used the broccoli/zucchini mixture in a veggie lasagna last night. They were only 44 cents each, so couldn't go wrong at that price.

RCSS had a clearance rack of Easter items and the sign said anything on this rack is 10 cents. I picked up several Pyrex Simply Storage 4-cup glass containers with plastic lids. For 10 cents, I can live with the cute bunny design on the glass.
I have several similar containers and use them all the time!

Thank you @Shwa Girl for posting your great deals at the loblaws chain. Still hoping to find the frozen beets, fruit and veggies for a good price like under 1.00, do you mind sharing where you shop and location? I've started to make a smoothie everyday with banana, frozen berries, cherries, beets, cucumber, ginger, turmeric greek yogurt so I can get some vitamins in my teenage DD who does not eat fruits or yogurt, I've been using a lot of these frozen fruits and beets lately. Since I'm making I do a double batch and take one to work for me. I'm spending a lot more on groceries now since there is hardly any flyer or sale, coupon etc. Hope you and family stay safe. Thank you

1850 coffee at Loblaws $8.99 x 4 (2 whole bean, 2 ground) minus $13 in total from CO51. A few other things, veggies, mashed potatoes at 50% off. So not used to shopping once every few weeks but at least I'm saving money by not taking out food except the occasional pizza slice.

Snow tire/seasonal tire brag
Background: scheduled the tire change over three weeks ago and they said Yes.
Then the problems began when we tried to change the time just a half hour earlier. No answer. Called the head dealership (group of dealers) and waited 3 days to get an answer.
They had lots of excuses but said No.
Told them that won't work. Need it done. No one called to cancel and some mechanics are working.
After lots of apologies got
- free tire change over , ~ $35 value
- free winter tire storage, ~ $45 value
Total savings ~$80
