Thanks to whoever writes Mr Fords speeches - what other politician do you know uses the words hammered and drunken stuper? He uses these words to appeal to a certain demographic - the one who voted him in. They see him not as a politician who is running or at least should be running a major city, but as a a guy who could be there father, brother, uncle, friend who made a mistake (a few). I wonder what his excuse will be when something else about him surfaces.

from what i have seen vee vee, when ford 'confessed' he did so off the cuff.
his brother didn't know for instance, so thinking there was no speech writer.
(and really does it seem like ford has one?)
terrific tweet from ian flett:
'let he who has not smoked crack with a soon to be murdered
gangster cast the first stone'
feeling sorry for his family though
you never see them at the best of times and now,,,,,

His staff usually write his speeches, but his first speech after the Gawker and Star articles came out was written by the staff but changed by himself and his brother so that it basically didn't look anything like what the staff had written. There was apparently major frustrations in his office because of that.

And now Ford's policy advisor has resigned.
Between this and the Senate, I can't keep up!

Apparently Ford went to high school with the home owner's son so it could be argued that he was helping out a friend and his family. Except that overlooks the fact that the son and daughter have interesting criminal records and that the house is apparently well known as a crack house and is frequented by gang members.

Ya know the bottom line is that this guy needs help. Political career and/or punishment aside he has an addiction problem, and if he doesn't seek help he will be leaving a widow and children behind. I was watching this video from CNN which was Dr. Drew being interviewed by Anderson Cooper and it was really interesting. It addresses the question that everyone seems to be seriously asking and joking about: I've never seen a fat crack addict.
