What are you doing on new year`s eve?

I guess we are past the partying stage now. Daughter and s-i-l are haveing a new years eve party. But we are staying home. Hubby will fall asleep on the lazy boy downstairs watching tv and i will fall asleep in my fav chair watching tv upstairs! lol Just a couple of old farts! Such is life!

dh will b working.. i'll be doing laundry, housework.. probably zzz by 11.

We'll be at home, too. Husband will bring supper home on his way home from work. He'll fall asleep watching tv, and I'll head to bed around 10 to read.

We used to have a party but now that all our friends have little ones also its hard to coordinate (we all want to keep the kids at home in their own beds/routine).

So, DH and I have a laid back evening planned. We rented some movies we've been wanting to watch, downloaded old school Super Mario 3 to the Wii and I'll make some late night munchies. Nothing exciting but fun for us nonetheless.

I order a movie from amazon to watch tonight, but it hasn't come yet.... if it doesn't come in the mail today, then I guess I'm outa luck.

Will also probably get some takeout night, and feel sorry for myself because I have a fever today of 100.4. No other real symptoms, just a fever that's make me feel freezing and a burning hot face all at the same time. ugh. I'm always sick this time of year.

Tonight's plans are nothing really. Does not seem to be anything on TV to watch so we will dive into some DVDs and order pizza.

I will probably be in bed long before midnight maybe mom will make it to midnight.

I was suppose to be in Old Montreal ringing in the New Year with a bunch of drunks, myself included, however that was cancelled.

Instead I will be at home having some drinks with some friends, watching some television.

If I don't nap ASAP, there will be no NYE celebrations going on here. I bought Champagne today ( partly for NYE, part because of my upcoming retirement!) and a box of bakery lovelies!! ( anyone love Rum Baba?) That is how we will ring in 2014, in the basement with Champagne in front of a tv watching a ball drop somewhere!

We chose not to travel to see family this holiday season. My relatives live 5hrs away and dh's live 11hrs away. No one took up our invitations to visit (long distance relatives or local friends). We didn't really receive any invites for New Years Eve. We are just going to stay home with our LO tonight. We'll probably watch more free episodes of MASH off the net. We just started season 5 last night. We started watching MASH from the beginning earlier this month. Neither of us have ever seen all of the episodes, and definitely not in the right order.

We JUST finished taking down all the Christmas decorations (sad).

We are having munchies tonight: homemade nachos, motz sticks, cookies and tons of crap from Christmas gifts.

Probably watch a movie, American Hustler (we tried to watch it last night but we both fell asleep) haha
