Rita DeMontis of the Toronto Sun posted three recipes recently-think soup/stew:
    http://www.torontosun.com/2017/10/10...comfort-dishes

I was staring at the sausage/hot dog cart outside Canadian Tire because the menu offered pulled pork. That is the one dish I want to try in a slow cooker. One day soon...with Dr. Pepper if possible in the batch.

Made this one tonight:Cranberry Orange Pork Chops (or chicken)

2 lbs thick cut boneless pork loin chops
1 bag, about 12 oz fresh green beans, trimmed
15 oz can whole berry cranberry sauce
    9 oz jar marmelade
1 packet of onion soup mix.

I used chicken, homemade cranberry, a small jar of Robertson's Thick Cut Marmalade and the onion soup mix as I had those items in the house. I will serve with rice and broccoli. Absolutely yummy. I got DH to taste it and he said it woke up his taste buds and tasted really good. So that one is a keeper, thanks.
So happy that you found an addition to your recipe collection! Hope there will be more!

Bumping this for ideas! I try to do a crock-pot meal 1 night during the week (Usually a Wed or Thursday)

Last week I did a beef roast and served with gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies.

Next week I am thinking pulled pork. I already printed off a recipe for the rub.

Some other ideas I have: Chicken fahitas (I will cook the chicken, peppers/onions etc in the crockpot) then we can serve on the wraps.
Trying to get ideas that both my kids will like.

ooh just read a recipe for a full meal in the crock pot and I have everything on hand!

Slice potatoes. Layer in bottom of crock pot. Sprinkle cheese (parm) and garlic, do another layer of each etc.

Add chicken on top. Add carrots. Cook on high for 4 hours (I would do 8 at low but that is what I do with everything lol)

Add green beans. Cook on high for 30 mins.

Serve! Trying this for sure next week!

Yesterday morning I put 6Lb rack of ribs in the slowcooker. Then once home I brushed with BBQ sauce and put in the oven for a bit. They were good for a week night meal. And the best part is that huge package is out of my freezer. 1 more to go- next month
