First "Big" SDM Shop

First off I am a little late posting this as I actually went shopping Sunday as that was the last day my coupon was valid.

I normally do not take part in any SDM promotional offers as I do not tend to spend that much money at SDM. But this time the stars aligned and I figured why not try it. But I will admit my OP total is higher than I would like, I got distracted and was so worried about getting to $30 I ended up spending more than I needed too. Here is what I bought:

4 x Arm & Hammer Laundry Soap $2.99 - $3.00 WUB2 (Insert) = $1.49/each Total $5.96
1 x Dove Shampoo $2.99 - $1.00 (SmartSource) = $1.99
1 x Dove Conditioner $2.99 - $1.00 (SmartSource) = $1.99
1 x Live Clean Body Wash $4.99 - $1.00 (Tear Pad) = $3.99
1 x Mousse Chocolate Bar $3.99 - $2.00 (Manager Sticker) = $1.99
**Opps thought it said $2.99 if I had of known I would have put back
2 x Carnaby Chcolate $2.99 - $2.00 (Manager Sticker) = $0.99/each Total $1.98
1 x Rolaids $4.49 - $1.00 (Hang Tag) = $3.49
1 x Essence Eye Shadow $1.29

Total $22.68 - $10 (Personal Offer $10 WUS$30) = $12.68 + $3.73 (Tax) = $16.41 - $1.00 (CartSmart) = $15.41

My receipt says I saved $41.00 so I am happy but was hoping to keep my OP under $10, oh well what can you do. Next time I will try harder and keep better track well shopping. But I will say there were a few things I did want and they did not have in stock and that did really throw me and made me worry I would not hit the $30.

Awwwww. You did awesome! I like the sdm coupon you got. $30.00 is such an easy target as compared to $50.00 or $75.00.

i'm the same! i don't do big shops at sdm often but when i get the $10 off $30 coupon, i'm checking meticulously to make sure i've hit $30. and even then, i don't use coupons cause i wasn't sure if it'll go towards the total. but now i know, thanks to you! i have to ask though, does it matter when you give your coupons to the cashier? should it be the 10 off 30 first?

I would never make it to $50 or $75 I just do not spend that much at SDM especially considering that is my whole weekly budget for groceries/household items/health & beauty.

I gave them the $10 WUS $30 first and than all my coupons. The only thing I am not sure of since I was far enough over was how the system would see manager stickers if they are before or after when it comes to reaching the $30.

Great brag. My SDM doesn't allow coupons to bring down your total. If you use coupons, then you still have to buy more to reach to 30 level.
