We grew a few things in flower beds not finished yet, Tomoatoes (4 plants) red onion, from plants and 2 zucchini plants from seed. We got one zucchini, and have used about 4 tomatoes (nice huge ones, used 3 with pasta on Friday and shrimp and it was so good) 2 tomato plants didn't grow so well (at side of house so didn't get much sun with the zucchini plants so know not to use again) The red onion need to grow a little longer but we used one small one in our pasta Friday as well. Have to pick the tomatoes as they are huge and green but before they die. Happy with our tomato haul. Think next year I will do same, use grandmas garden. She offered this year but didn't get around to it. Will plant seeds inside for sure in March this year and really use her garden.

Too funny-I went to the Indian visa office this morning and they said I was too early-I leave in 3 months! Anyway since I have to part with my passport for 2 weeks, I suddenly came up with a possible fictitious trip that I might have to make to the US in Oct/Nov and would need my passport back for travel!! Let's see if my little letter to the Indian consulate does the trick-and you never know when you may have to travel!-anyway hopefully my passport will arrive back with the visa !

I feel the same way - winter was WAY too long last year!
I'm keeping your husband in my prayers, hoping he is okay.
-----------
It's really cold inside here, I was just going to wait to warm things up when I put the oven on to make supper, but it's 3:30 and I think I'll turn on the heat now so it's warm in here when my husband comes home. I don't know whether he worked outside today or not.
Our temperature difference - I'm warm, he's cool - is even more pronounced now that he's lost weight since his injury - mind you, he's put on four pounds! YAY!
Gosh, I've been trying my best by cooking well, having some baking around - and, yes, being pushy with him. He just doesn't grasp the whole 'calories' concept, at all. He's only ever seen food as fuel. (oh, I wish!) I leave out peanuts and chips for him to snack on, but he just doesn't think to do it.

coupon girl I think you are making the best decision as you need to be able to use your mouth without being in constant or aggravated pain.

Hi all,
Had a little mishap on Friday (was supposed to go in to hospital for testing, so my transplant meds were changed a bit which unfortunately led to my blood pressure crashing). Ended up with a little trip via ambulance to the emergency ward and a little less than 24 hours of entertainment from screaming/crying patients. Sigh. Working towards getting back on my feet - good thing I have a dog that likes to help me and a cat who will boss me around and make sure I behave.
Needless to say, cleaning challenges are a bit delayed. Although I still have to finish emptying the laundry closet - powers that be are coming tomorrow (happy I had a day's delay). Fun times.
Hope everyone is well.
