    Evening All,

Logan made dessert today as the guys are starting the baking & cooking again this week. He made Millionaire squares and they are sinful but super easy to make!!

Went to the re-use it centre, got a few tops for me and really nice winter coat.

I am done the lazy susan, did the wipe down, sorted everything in 2 categories cooking & baking both the top and bottom are split in 2 which makes sense and makes it easier for me to find stuff instead of turning and searching, turning and searching. It looks great and so happy it's done and after all it only took an hour (lol).

I'll check in later - wishing everyone a great evening!!!

TG sounds like you've had a rough week! Hope your son is doing better and your husband!

Lizzie so sorry for you loss

Sassy i hope things between you and your mom get better!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

We went to the trade show here yesterday - 2 dollars each for entry but we got a bunch of pens, 2 2gb usb sticks, a few grocerie bags, travel mug and a tshirt from various booths.

After that we went grocery shopping and to the hardware store. Then we decided to go to bumper to bumper and get a battery for the quad. I had to go "fondle and oggle" the ford flex on the lot - i VERY much want one and we are planning on purchasing one next fall. We test drove it and what a nice ride - feels very safe and comfy - it made me all that more determined to have one.

I put my Jade plant into a larger pot - hoping it recovers from whatever has been ailing it lately as it was dropping leaves and such. I also brought my ivy in for the winter.

We went out to the legion last night (i have a job app in for manager of there) had some drinks - bf splurged and got nevadas which we didnt win much - enough for a cab ride home.

Goals for this month I have determined to be
    - Try to find something to do other than stress eat because ive been doing that alot the last month - its hard on our grocery bill and my poor pants!
-Remember to take in grocery bags - at 25 cents a bag even 4 bags a week being "purchased" adds up to 52 dollars a year.
-Get new scripts for my inhalers
    - clean up my plant pots and put away.
    -clean out my car
    - make more of an effort to drink water again. August i slipped and went back to getting a pop from the pharmacy every afternoon. Ouch.

A very lazy day today. With a small grocery shop - maccaroni, kraft dinner, cauliflower, coffee creamer, gatorade for bf, chippies and a pop for me, toilet paper and i did remember to take my own bags. Laundry and watching some movies.

Pork Blade steaks done in shake n bake with kd and beans for supper tonight.

Tomorrow night im to go to the legion to volunteer sometime with the books and meet the pres. looks good for my application as well as helps them out and gets me hands on the work before hand.

Tuesday s BF's birthday as well as make the connection night to sign boys up for hockey and cadets.

On a sadder note, my nieces wife(you read that right) will be induced today to deliver a 25 week stillborn baby girl-very sad for them and my brother and his wife who were planning to welcome a third granddaughter in Dec.
That is so very sad for your family! I'm sorry to hear this!

Of course I worked a 40 plus work week so had to enlist friends and family to help him out.He needs a wheel chair for school because the chance of him getting bumped and loosing his balance is too high.
I received a phone call from my husband who was fishing in Prince Rupert that he was in the hospital with his heart in A fib while I was right in the middle of catering a dinner for 60 people, yup that was a little stressful to say the least. He is on his way home as we speak, they stabilized him and monitored him for 3 days and put him on blood thinners and medication to regulate his heart beat and felt he was safe to travel home. Prince Rupert has a very small hospital and felt he was safe to get home and to emergency here. I will be picking him up in Edmonton this afternoon and right to the hospital.I had been at work since 8 am and was leaving at midnight and backed in to a coworkers car, (a combintaion of stress and fatigue). I decided to just pay for it rather than have my rates go up, first accident that I have caused, so I am 1500.00 poorer just for their vehicle and haven't even dealt with mine.Has to get better soon doesn't' it?

Oh Thriftygranny! How awful and worrisome! I hope your dh is fine and yes, stress causes many accidents. This is not good news, but I send you best wishes for a good outcome.

Good day today. Brought lunch to lake with family. Few loads of laundry done and all put away. Yippee! Sold one of the rocking chairs I found on side of road for $25 . Cleaned out my car. Went for an hour long walk with a friend. We use to run together and wanted to get back at it so we are committing 2 nights a week to meet. Grabbed a few groceries. A productive day.

I personally slacked off since Easter I lost 20 lbs from Jan to easter then put 2lbs back over the summer with all the breads/carbs - hotdogs & burgers at the cottage. I want to lose another 20lbs before I have the 2nd surgery for my underarms. Wish you luck and wish me luck (lol)

    Morning All,

Wishing everyone a wonderful & frugal day!

Plans for today are to help dh tidy up the stuff that is overtaking our basement again.

After that I may tackle the upper corner cabinet which is above the lazy susan which is finished...yippee..and tidy that mess up of Tupperware and stuff that just gets jammed in their .

DH & I are are starting our diets today. I slacked off since I lost the 20lbs just before Easter and have put back on a few. I would really like to lose another 20lbs before my surgery for my underarm problems. If I reach the total of 40lbs I will have exceeded the recommended weight loss necessary for the surgery. So that means dusting off that exercise bike again and bye bye carbs, the carb withdrawals only last 3-4 days so wish me luck ladies!!!

    That's all for now

Happy Monday! A nice sunny day in my neck of the woods. I should have taken the day off! Well will be taking one off soon to enjoy a nice stroll by the water and massage and pedicure day for mama very soon I think! Cleaned up the kitchen before we left this morning, washed every dirty dish from breakfast (had Egg mcmuffins) Stripped DS's bed sheets and gathered all dirty laundry, will put a load in tonight to keep up on it. My honey is making his famous meatloaf for dinner
