I had a personal e-mail from SDM, $3.00 off of any tampon product, my girls and I love the life brand tampons.we tried all different kinds and these are the best..anyways, they were on sale for $4.99 less my $3.00 so for $1.99 not bad, then I noticed the packaging has changed instead of 40 in a pack you get 36 it wasn't to long ago when there were 48 in a box!!!
I saw a few of the 40 left and grabbed one..I plan on going back to buy more since you're only allowed one per day on these..Hope there's some left when I go back..bacon, cheese, cookies, toilet paper, tampons I don't think I can take anymore of this!!This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

Yes. The manufacturers and stores think the customers don't know.
On a positive note, for grocery/health and beauty aids that don't expire quickly, stocking up is one solution to the shrinking packaging. Like TP -- we know when they typically go on sale so try to save and buy when they are cheaper.
I really like cpnaimsey's & Anna Michele's threads I'll Never Pay More Than A Dollar for...
It may help

Costco will soon be the regular size and other stores, the mini. I can see it now: "Special sale....get 3 pieces of rice for the price of 2!"

Better stock up on those Life brand things... who knows when Loblaws will decide to phase out the Shoppers store brands in favour of their own.

I know it's not for everyone, but for many of us, forget tampons. Diva Cup is a reusable device that for me at least (with what I think is a fairly heavy flow), does not leak, you worry about it twice a day. Costs about $35 regular price, but you don't have to replace it for years from what I've read. I bought one about six months ago and am kicking myself for not discovering it sooner.

I have my consult on NOV 4 I am 29 but its a need for me. Im well aware that it will be the worst pain ever but I'm fine with that horror for a few days vs the monthly horror till menopause.

Feminine hygiene pads used to be about 22-26 count per pack. 18 and less is the new normal.

However, normal pads used to be kind of diaper-like. When I was young they were thick, not nearly as discreet as they are now.
While modern products are much better than what were available in the past, I once again have to recommend the Diva Cup. I'm using it at this moment. Every month I make use of it, I'm thinking I should have discovered it years ago! All I use now is a pantyliner as a backup, and don't really need even that. I think of my period twice a day, that is all.
I know I keep going on about this. But it's such a fabulous product, I want to share how great it is, and it's not something you can bring up just anywhere!
