Completely agree. Very annoying!! There are threads for that, they should be used! I think we should have a "RULES" section that all newbies MUST read before being allowed to post threads!

I hope that even 10% of the posts in the wrong sections are minimalized due to threads like these.... But I doubt that it will make a huge difference. Every bit counts, I guess!

What's with all the threads about "Have you received ________ freebie?" Post your question in the original thread of the freebie!

At this rate, every freebie offer will spawn two additional threads:

(1) Received __________ today!
(2) Have you received __________ yet?

and if i may add to this, if you come across a "freebie" that turns out to not be free, don't add to the thread, just report it.. a mod will move it as soon as they get a chance

Yes, I agree with this one 100%
It just adds unnecessary clutter to the forums and pushes other offers off the first page.
After I receive something that I want to post about, I always do a search to find the main thread the deal was in.

A freebie is something that does not cost anything, or cost anything to receive in the mail. Us mods will love you long time if you please put other offers in the proper sections.

Whooops! I am guilty of this. Please remove my post for "Free Calendar/Holiday Cards from Vista Print", as this is not a true freebie (was unaware of the hidden cost to the calendar/cards).

I'll have to LOL at this and bump it, so true. It's even worse when the title is "Free ABC shampoo'' followed by its content: "I received this in the mail today, anyone else? Don't try to sign up though, promotion is over''
