on utube watched BBC Back in Time for Dinner from the 50s to the 90s okay its British but still liked it.

I absolutely loved it, and there's a newer series out called Further Back in Time for Dinner which goes back to the 1900s. I think that family was amazing to have done all of this! The wartime ones were very interesting.

DH and I decided to watch the first episode of The Son ( a new Western starring Pierce Brosnan ) ....I am willing to give it a few more episodes, but it better tickle my fancy more that the opener did. I like Pierce, but meh? Something about this show rings hollow and kind of boring. We'll see.

@bluerose , @Natalka , thank you for letting me know about that "Back in Time for Dinner" series! I'm loving it...starting the 1920s now, but jeepers, has that Mother EVER cooked a meal in her life?! She looks so clumsy in the kitchen, and can't seem to even poach eggs! Put a cover on them for heaven's sake! hahahaha!!!!

But it's all so interesting how things changed so dramatically from the 1900s to the 1920s, during the war. I love watching how differently the decor changes!

She's fine in the kitchen - I watched the series' backwards, so I know she can. He cooks, too.
