@lilo0003 : Did you check in the dairy section or ask one of the employees? At our RCSS, they were cleared on the shelf, but there was a large skid of them in the dairy section. If the offer is still up on CO51, you can probably call the store and see if they're in.

@walkonby @Sweetsparrow I don`t beat myself up about spending $ on fruit. I figure it`s much better for us than a bunch of junk or baked goods. Hubby and I are both diabetic. That being said, we stopped at a bake shop today and I bought a small piece of chocolate mint fudge...one of my all time faves.
Yes, I think so too. The only thing that bothered me was that I bought the cherries for $2.99 when I could have waited another week for it to be $1.99. They're my favourite so I always get a few bags! I've found my limit as to how many I can eat before I get sick. I'm such a glutton for cherries.

Chocolate mint is another favourite. The last time I went shopping, I found that the mint chocolate chips were discontinued and on clearance at RCSS for $1.04. I bought two bags. Now I have to find a special project for them. I don't want to waste them in bad baking!

Happy Thursday! This week wasn't too bad (compared to my short work week last week with the holiday and vacation days!) No sports tonight so DS and I are finally doing our movie date with our friends (a hockey friend and his mom that we are friends with ) Just redeemed for his free ticket (Energizer promotion) and I have a bunch of GC"s and free tickets to use for mine. We will make popcorn at home (I don't like the popcorn at the movies) and will stop at $store on way so DS can pick up some treats. Will be a nice cheap night out

Came home to blueberries on the kitchen counter. Guessing my mom dropped them off. Oldest DS enjoyed them all! They are his fav! Both my kids are big fruit eaters which is good so I'm always buying the fruit deals in excess. We have apples and peaches right now. Not sure what deals I saw coming on the weekend for fruit?

Went to Costco quick last night since we were in the area for DS's game. Needed dog food. And grabbed the kids Head Winter gloves (5 pairs) lol. Got to get them early or you won't get them! So we are set! I have a bankers box that I have been putting the winter hats/mitts in after I wash them so I am organized for winter. So they are set now for those items. Now I'm motivated to go through the coats and snowpants. Think I can wash and post for sale many since we have so much. Will get it ready for Sept/Oct posting.

Went home at lunch to feed the rugrats. Pulled bacon from freezer, eggs, wonder bread for toast and Oasis OJ (pretty cheap from the $4 coupon) Cleaned up the kitchen before I left. Will have to run the dishwasher this evening so we have a fresh start for the start of the weekend tomorrow. The meat I pulled from the freezer will be tomorrow nights dinner since we will be hitting early movie. So dinner tonight will be this and that leftover in the fridge which is good to get stuff used up. I think I will empty the entrance closet tonight when we get home from the movies and do a load of winter jackets finally! Will put way for winter the one we will keep and put the ones to be posted for sale in the selling room! That is the extent of my getting stuff done tonight.

The lady with twin boys messaged me again yesterday. Her boys are now in size 3 diapers, so she asked if I wanted the size 2 diapers that they had outgrown. I picked them up this morning. One sealed box of Kirkland diapers, plus a bunch of Pampers diapers for a total of 271 size 2 diapers to add to my collection for free. She offered to give me other stuff when she gets around to it. I feel very blessed to have made this new connection.

I submitted my form to get my honorarium money from the health region, which equals a $175 cheque that will be coming my way.

Lol, if I had the room in the freezer I would have, but it is seriously packed. I had some great meat offers in the past week. The chicken was really tender, we had some for dinner.
Sweet sparrow, I did look and then customer service confirmed they were out. But I was back today as I had the lavazza coffee 1200 pc point offer. I pm'ed to metro at 5.99 a bag and I had 2.00 of coupons. I bought 8. It has a really long shelf life but I already have a 5 month supply of coffee and I am the only one that drinks it. While I was there I looked again for the cereal as its back on checkout 51 and they had some in. So same deal 6 boxes of cereal for less than 12.00 with 4.50 back from checkout 51 and free raspberries, strawberries and apples. So I came home to clean the fridge. I have had some wickedly good luck with the groceries this past week. The older child is loving it, the younger is at my parents.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Went to visit Grandpa today. Was a relaxing day. Girls played in the yard and watched a movie while we sat and talked. He is on oxygen and cant do much but sit.

Stopped at Winners on the way home. This is my favourite Winners but only get to go when I visit Gramps. Bought socks, undies and sunglasses for girls. $40 (little undies are so expensive and these were a good deal compared to what I normally see!)

We also stopped at Swiss Chalet for dinner. We ordered kids meals for the girls ($8.50 for white quarter chicken, $10 for 1/3 ribs) and DH and I bought an appetizer each and helped the girls with their meals. $40 incl taxes and gratuity (We are happy when our restaurant eating is $10/person, especially with DD1 being GF).

Just put a bid on Lincoln Logs for $10 on a buy and sell. They look like good used condition and are quadruple that in price new. Would like to put away as a Santa present. We will see.

We had BBQ pork ribs for supper last night, with boiled potatoes and cucumber salad. I was surprised by just how few ribs survived the meal. There are still lots of potatoes, but I figured they would be great as leftovers.

Tomorrow is the garage and bake sale at our house again. Tomorrow night we are going to a friend's house for a small get together before the twins arrive. I'm bringing my baked cheese loaf with crackers, plus whatever goodies I manage to make today.

Last night was the worst night's sleep that I have had this pregnancy. I didn't sleep great the night before either. When dh went to leave to work this morning he couldn't find his keys, so he took my truck. Hopefully I can find his keys today, not just because we need them (he only has 1 set), but because then I can still get a few errands done today. I completely forgot about getting a float from the bank for the fundraiser until we were already home again yesterday. We can manage if I don't make it to the bank, it's just not as easy. I'll see if a friend (the ones we will see for supper tomorrow), can do me a favour and get the float. I also need to buy a loaf of French bread for the baked cheese loaf.

I always have more of a to-do list than I do energy these days. Some things really just need to get done. Dh is supportive that I'm growing the twins, taking care of LO, and still accomplishing a few things each day. He's fine with it, even when I feel like I'm not doing enough.

I'm not sure if I told you guys yet, but I will be moving to Sasktoon on July 23rd to wait for the twins to arrive. The specialists want to see me and it doesn't make much sense to come back to Estevan when I am 36+wks pregnant with the twins. I'll be staying at my mom's and joining their household for a while. Dh is unable to come up at that time. He will join us when labour starts or when his scheduled days arrive, whichever comes first. He will also come up August long weekend, if I'm still pregnant at that time. It will be the longest that we have been apart since we got married. It will also be the longest that LO has been away from dh since he was born.

    Good morning, everyone.

Yesterday was a do-nothing pajama day for us. I didn't get a single complaint from the brats, even tho they weren't wearing their PJs.

More and more athletes have moved into the village. Some are showing off their pride with flags on the balcony (too much glare to see the flags in the windows, unfortunately).

    Hola Uruguay y Guatemala.

Have to get the brats ready soon. We're off to my Mom's for the weekend - get to spend some time with her & off to a BBQ or 2. Should be back some time next week. I actually have an ulterior motive to going out to Scarboro - bff has raspberry bushes that have taken over the yard and are at their peak right now, so I will be getting my fill of my fav fruit over the next few days.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
