Let the credit card woes continue, the day I had to cancel my card I had a payment they told me not to worry it would be posted. Well for some reason the payment didn't go through or bounced back or something and it never went through, mild heart attack when I saw my balance not to mention the panic of who corrects this before I realized the money never left my account. Little things like these make my stomach knot up

Well, you're not going to believe this. We had 10 minutes of rain just as supper time. DH went out in his crocs to take the pop-can chicken off the BBQ. And zoom - he fell on the steps on his butt and also hurt his wrist again. Will he go for X-rays? OH NO! He says he's not in pain, but quietly put on his wrist support.
Tomorrow our cleaning helper is coming early and we are going to attack the "dust" that is now in our basement. No more water has come in. Fans and dehumidifier on full blast - zoom - there goes the electric bill! But it's so humid for the last couple of days that the level of humidity in the basement is not going down drastically.
I am going to get ahold of a couple of people in our church tomorrow as our church manse had HUGE water problems a couple of years ago. I'm going to see who they had to do the job. The fellow who said he would help us is tied up and I really NEED to get an answer and find out what we're facing here.
I should hit the sack.
I'm so tired!
Take care folks!

Oh, thriftygranny.
If VISA is covering the purchases, that's great. I don't suppose the VISA rep can give you any hints as to how PIN info might be stolen? Good for you for catching it so quickly!
I notice at places with the "tap" feature, it takes over $100 to require the PIN. There are many other places like online over the phone that you just need to give the 3-digit security number to. Today, I've noticed that a lot of grocery stores have the "tap" feature, while Walmart always requires a PIN.
I think if it were that serious, I probably would have went to the ER after DH got home. My one knee is just really bruised and swollen from hitting the concrete. Not too much blood there. It was the other knee that skidded, so it was a much larger area to bleed. On my hands, one has two places where I scraped myself on the knuckles. My other hand was holding my 10-year old shuffle music player, which took the brunt of the force that would have been my hands. I mainly can't stop bleeding because all the injuries are around my knees and knuckle joints and I have to keep bending them.
This year for Christmas, I'll ask for a new shuffle. This one slammed into the pavement, cracking the case and the internal wiring popped out.
To be honest, when I landed, it was so painful that I couldn't get up right away. Now it hurts when I kneel to scrub a few things for laundry, or scrub the tub for LO's bath. She keeps wanting me to play "ring around the rosy" with her, but I keep having to tell her "maybe next week, mommy hurt her knees".
@Angela273 : I'm sorry the photos didn't turn out. I know how disappointing that is. Did you see a portfolio beforehand?
For our wedding, we went with the quote that was $100 less but with more time. We used the more expensive option to do some photos after the wedding and we both really wished we went with him. We loved the photos and now we're trying to work it into the budget to get LO's first professional photos with him.

I'm just wondering if maybe because they had your husband's whole wallet that they were able to forge his signature. I know for large purchases you can sign for them instead of entering a pin.
It was a horrible thing to have happened and I'm so sorry that happened to you and your husband. It is very disturbing that VISA didn't call you or freeze the account. I've had my VISA stolen (luckily just the cc not my whole wallet) and only 2 small transactions went through before VISA froze my account. They apparently went and tried to by a big screen tv at future shop and that's when VISA froze my account. I'm thinking they tried to do a purchase larger than the cc limit and that's what tipped them off but I really don't know. The credit limit on that card was probably only $1000.

@coupongirl I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation! Tobermory is one of my favourite places. I spent most of my summers as a child up in that area. My Mom's cousins own a campground between Tobermory and Lionshead so we had a seasonal trailer up there. Sometime I'd like to take a camping road trip up to Tobermory and then cross with the chi-cheemaun over to Manitolin Island. I've never been there.

We had a super busy but fun wknd. It was my MIL's 68th b-day so we spent Saturday at their house. Had an early dinner (roasted chicken and baked potatoes on the bbq), then took the girls to the splashpad and then fishing at the dam at dusk. Then on Sunday a couple from our church invited us over for lunch and a swim at their house. 2 other couples came by with their kids so there was 7 girls in the pool plus our 2. We had a lovely visit and made some new friends and the kids had a blast!
I'm glad that I only have one daycare kid this week and that they are all going to VBS this morning. I need to get caught up on the housework and laundry! Hopefully it's gonna be a rain free day as I have more than one load of laundry to do.
Have a good day everyone

@coupon girl I have that problem right now but for a different reason. If you have the urge to pee a lot drink more water and don't rule out a urinary tract infection. My mom is 60 and she pees just as much as me though 9 months pregnant. 😊

good morning all! Wow I have missed a few things, just read back some. So sorry about the CC fraud thriftyg, such a pita! Sweet sparrow, ouch to your injuries. Hope you get your new Shuffle at Christmas. coupon girl I will confirm the frequent visits to the bathroom at our age....sigh.
Today another early trip to take DD in for her 7:00 a.m. start, 3rd one in a row! And before I forget!! At Sobeys in Ajax they had 2 kg jars of Compliments brand smooth peanut butter for $1.79!!! As I NEVER shop there I would not have known but DD came out of work holding one up and says " so what do ya think this cost " ?? She knows I always search the best deals for PB and we still have a ton of jars in the stockpile but that price was just too good to resist so she bought 2 for the home! ( nice of her to spend some of her PT earnings on us all. lol!! )
Time to sit for a bit, just finished picking batches of fresh sage and basil from my backyard boxes and now they are in my dehydrators. The temps were not as bad today, so I decided to run 2 machines. Fell off the wagon a bit by going to RCSS on Sat and grabbing more pet related deals. Told myself I wouldn't do any more stocking up for them but sales + coupons + PM-ing and no tax made it impossible to ignore! ha ha Have a great day everyone!

Busy weekend and had bad news from my best friend. I am still in shock and just had another cry this morning in my office thinking about it. Trying to be positive until she get the results and hoping the health scare isn't as bad as it could be. I am heart broken and can't believe she is going through this.
