The public health nurse weighed the twins on Tuesday. Lily had gained 4oz and Eli had gained 3.5oz in the past week. On Wednesday we were surprised when she stopped by our house with newborn sized diapers and wipes for us. 4x 20ct Pampers swaddlers, 4x 18ct packs of Pampers wipes, 1x 24ct pack of Huggies, and the Pampers came with a few coupons. I met this public health nurse in June when we were at the hair dresser's. She pointed out to me that her oldest daughter was in one of my Grade 10 ELA classes this spring. Her daughter spoke fondly of me.

Dh is on holidays this week and next. Since he works for a federalized courier, he only gets 2wks of paid holidays each year until he earns another week. It is hard to believe that his holidays are already half over. I'm grateful for his help. He's a good husband and father.

This week LO and I have made puffed wheat squares, banana chocolate chip muffins, and waffles. I'm still exclusively breastfeeding both twins.

Angela-it sounds like things are going very well although I am sure very busy. Great that your DH can be home with you in these early days and spend time with all 3 of your children-3 under 3 must be busy! Nice gift of diapers etc from the nurse and great that her daughter liked you as a teacher-that speaks highly of you because certainly teens( or anyone else) like all their teachers. Enjoy the rest of DH's vacation with him.

The diapers are free through the hospital and family centre, but it's still great that she went out of her way to access these resources for us.

Went to RCSS to grab more coupons for the shampoo for the deal tomorrow. They had whole chickens marked down to $1.49 LB so grabbed 2 large ones for the freezer. Will be great for a Sunday night dinner with lots of leftovers for the week Also SCOP'd hotdog buns. They left an old sale flyer up My teen will be happy.

You are SO amazing. There are first time moms with one and they find it difficult to shower in a day. Here you are BF two babies, making and baking a storm...

You make me feel so lazy....

My neice and nephew each have one. Last Christmas I gave one to one of my sisters. The other 2 and my mom tried to claim it for themselves. My grandma told me she'd really like one.

    You made me LOL. :D
I still find it hard to get laundry on, or manage to feed myself at times. Lily fed 3 times in 5 hours this morning, plus Eli also nursed 2 times during those same 5hrs. Dh and I are both looking forward to when the twins are able to tandem nurse, which will essentially cut my feeding times in half. Until then, I will be grateful with the progress we have made with them being able to get a proper latch more easily.

@Angela273 Sounds like the babies and you are doing really well.

I went to Spinrite again today...was in town anyway so thought I`d check on the off chance they would still have that yarn. Well they did. Almost cleaned them out of the colour I use the most...did leave a few bags there but I got another 48 balls. Now I have to find the energy to truck 4 huge garbage bags upstairs. I feel good though, knowing I won`t run out of these colours for at least a few years.

It's raining today. BF picked up scooter as he stayed with my boss.

I got a text saying scooter didn't want to come home because we don't take him on horse rides or let him roll in poop.

Scooters lost 4 pounds (needs to loose more to help with his hips)
Yes he weighed him when he got him from us. He also cleaned his teeth and trimmed his paws for us. Told us he'd keep him anytime. It is so appreciated. Dragon went with us. She got spoiled in a different way with a few car rides walks camping and got to sleep with me. Although I rolled over one night and she was so limp...and unresponsive that my sleep fogged brain thought I killed her. I poked her til she woke up. Major sigh of relief because I was very very close to crying.

Sewer line is still clogged up. They changed a collapsed sewer main 6 inches from where our line meets the main line. A guy us here now flushing it out. Thankfully the town told us to have it billed to them and...the two bills from April and may are being reimbursed by the town as it was their issue all along causing our issue and our neighbors to have issues.

DH & I ventured out last night at 730pm to do groceries with the travelling I only had 1 hour to do both GT & FreshCo before they closed. It was so nice to shop as no one was in the store, this might be a new shopping routine as I normally get so overwhelmed with crowds so it was a pleasure to shop last night. I picked up 5 hams at Frehsco on sale for $4.97 with a long expiry which is great. I must say this month I have been really lucky with sales on meats to stock up on whole pork loin, chicken drumbsticks, Janes chicken fingers for those lazy days & back to school lunches, ham. So now a good sale on ground beef and rib steak would make my month (haha).

Can't imagine nursing two! You are a rock star. I was thinking that I have showered more in the past two weeks than I did in the first month with my first. When you have other busy bodies around sometimes it is easier to squeeze things in.

We baked cupcakes yesterday (birthday treat for everyone to celebrate Josie), big girls help make and decorate and had homemade meatballs for dinner. BUT I had the cleaner in this week doing the cleaning...BEST self gift ever. So much less worrying about things that don't matter.

New mom = rock star Oh Granger, you are so funny. Apart from the staying up all night, I'm not sure there are that many similarities. Oh wait, there's also the screaming fan. Sometimes, the one is just as loud as a room full!

Glad you have someone doing the cleaning for you. That's such a great idea!

Speaking of cleaning, would anyone recommend buying a refurbished vacuum cleaner? There's a two year warranty, but I'm a bit nervous as the new machines have a five year warranty.
