@saundyl your poor bf, glad to hear that someone was able to watch the pooches and that your expenses will be reimbursed in time. Hope he feels better soon and takes care of himself.
And not to mention the stress you must be feeling and overwhelmed you both have had your share of health issues as well.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Afernoon all,
The nurse came at 830 so dh and I headed out shortly after to get some much needed groceries for the kids lunches and staples.
We both used our sdm offers and the cashier goofed on dh's transaction 5 items had manager stickers which I was feeling like crap so wasn't paying my usual attention. Anyways he had spend $40 get 8k, he spent $51, when I went back in to get the proper amounts reimbursed, she for whatever reason goofed again, took 2 transactions to get the credits then pay for those discounted items. I noticed once home that they are deduction 1300 points which is not right eventhough she goofed on all counts re discounted items he still spent $40 and should get the full 8K, I guess I will have to call them tomorrow and get it straightened out, it all adds up SO it's worth calling about.
Chicken drumsticks with Cavendish fries for supper and turnover for desserts2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

We checked out if the hotel at 11...rather than paying $21/hr for 5 hours and have spent the after noon with bfs buddy....and his buds football pool friends watching nfl football. What a different experience. Our flight leaves at 6.

The arm is still sore, the nurse comes daily and packs the hole, slowly but surely. Doctor said that hopefully it will be fully healed by Christmas so still a ways to go.
I'm now dealing with a sore throat guessing it was passed along from dh who was sick for a whole week and still has a sore throat.
Wishing everyone a great evening and a frugal week ahead.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Wow sounds like some of you had some excitement you could have done without this past weekend and there was far too many encounters with a hospital. Hopefully everyone is on the road to recovery.

We have figured the same, and that's not a horrible thing - there are so many worse things which could have happened. She's just such a pretty and sweet natured cat, that we hope that someone has just fallen in love with her and kept her.
So my husband and son worked on our van all aft and got it fully winterized - it's just so awesome that my son can use the shop he works at, does the labour free, just have to pay for stuff we use.
Sobey's shopping today - some good 1/2 price items - froz veggies and deli ham; bonus AM pts on carrots; best deal was buy a Sensations thin crust frozen pizza for 4.99, get a free box of Flamingo wings or chicken chunks. Husband chose the chunks because the wings were only spicy or extra spicy.
OH, and great news about our son - he got into the next session of school for his apprenticeship, so he will go in the spring for eight weeks. He's already done the work hours for third and fourth year mechanic, just was waiting to get slotted into a space at the polytechnic.

Good Morning All,
Monday morning and I am already counting down to next weekend LOL. Think I am still recovering a bit from the weekend but the good news is Mom seems to be doing much better.
I got 1 mermaid blanket done this weekend will message the lady tonight with pics and hopefully that can get picked up or dropped off soon. Also the Purple Elephant has been put together and now I just need to sew on the finishing touches. I asked Mom to take the Mermaid Blanket the girl backed out of to work to see if her co worker likes it and wants to just buy that one, fingers crossed she likes it then I do not have to make another one plus this one is out of my life (don't get me wrong on making another one, it is mostly timing we have so much going on right now I am just worried about letting someone down). I have started on the first pair of sneaker slippers which so far are working up quite quickly which makes me super happy. I am starting to feel like I may get everything done so my stress level is going down.
Now I need to try to find time to go grocery shopping this week, we do not need a lot but there a few things on sale we need. Not sure why but lately we just cannot find time to grocery shop, it is great on the budget and so far we have not run into anything we are missing just seems weird. Will see what the rest of the week brings.
Have a great day everyone, off to see what is on my desk for today.

Good morning, everyone.
Been spreading myself too thin these days. Good thing it's all fun (sort of, even the helping/cleaning with my friend was fun - dinner out was a great incentive for both of us). Xmas Market is up & running, not too crowded so far. A bit disappointed that the Merci folks aren't giving out free chocolates this year (I scored way more caffeine that way last year than I needed
). On the plus side, the Glad wrap folks are there giving out gingerbread cookies & raising money for charity (if you buy Xmas cling wrap, all proceeds go to charity).
This week should be a bit quieter, of course every time I say that my dance card fills up fast. It's nice to feel wanted.Have a friend coming by this afternoon, a tree-trimming party tomorrow afternoon, theatre tomorrow night and a fun day out on Wed. Thurs & Fri should be quiet. Or not. As long as the brats & I are having fun, all is well.
Better get some cleaning done (yesterday was quiet part of the day, but decided to forego housework, now the dust bunnies are taking over and scaring Quincy cat).
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Hi all. Was a late start today since it was a late night. Checked out RCSS/Fb and Walmart. Found steaks for $2.99 lb!! So sorted through them and bought 3 trays of 2 for less then $20. Will be for special celebration adult nights ( kids never seem want steak). At Walmart saw 3 pk of romaine hearts for $6.97 ( not organic). Crazy!!!!!

Hi folks!
I'm taking a break from a last minute rush to the finish to get ready for our trip TOMORROW! Yes, as of 9:00 am this morning, dh got the OK from his specialist to GO! So it's a mega rush.
A while ago I promised a pumpkin/potato soup recipe.
Finally found the recipe book - That I got from a "Heart Smart" Cooking Course
Georgia's Pumpkin and Zucchini Soup - from thThe Lighthearted Cookbook by Anne Lindsay.
