I use apple cider vinegar and baby shampoo for dry scalp. That stuff rocks. Canesten cream can't be beat for a yeast diaper rash though.

Forgot to mention it is my SIL anniversary so I have my nephew today. 4 kids 4 and under over dinner hour while DH is at work. Wish me super powers! He is home right now which is why I have time to type this. Lol.

@thriftygranny Hope they can get your meds regulated and you start feeling better soon.
@jasperandchar WRT getting rides. My neighbour drives me to appointments all the time. We use our own car and when he takes me to London we usually have lunch out. I always try to pay but sometimes he gets the bill before I can. At Christmas we also give him a bottle of his favourite whiskey and a gift card to a store we know he shops at.

Great discussion about giving/getting rides from others!
@Sweets parrow - regarding price-matching: I don't do it and have not been to an RCSS yet this year though it would be fun for all of 1h! My only concern is timing my shopping at Walmart when it is not crowded or super-busy. Sometimes it is easier to look at items of interest, note the current price/stock and then leave because there are big line-ups at the checkouts or it seems all the aisles are crowded with carts. No Frills-it's an occasional store and no matter which location it is, if it's busy, I don't linger. I would not have the backbone to pricematch in a No Frills.
@SassyAshley -buying supplies for your interest is so satisfying when you can get what you want at your preferred store or vendor!

Bedding quest-did not get the comforter and I won't chase the flannel. Expecting to find a set to turn up when I'm looking for something else!

Tempting desserts-aside from tarts or tortes in the latest Food & Drink issue (yes, I spent time looking at the recipes today-chocolate hazelnut spread brioche has my name!), New York Times has a list of alternatives to pie for US Thanksgiving: http://cooking.nytimes.com/68861692-...at-are-not-pie

This morning, I did roast some green cauliflower (teensy head), carrots and parsnips, pitted black olives, and halved dried apricots. 20min and the apricots were scorching (though they did taste like roasted chestnuts on the charred sides). No seasonings or oil-quite delicious and the olives still were salty despite a rinse before pitting. I'm now craving cookies or biscuits.

We love the works but have not been in ages. Trying to cut down of dining out, but we have a coupon for a free burger so it may be out December treat. We used to spend as much on restaurants and coffee out as we did on groceries. So that has been a goal this year to try to cut it down, but I do miss it.

@SassyAshley 5 or 6 weeks...geez I'll count myself lucky. It's obvious the over the counter meds are nut cutting it so why not give you a prescription. Before I had kids I have chronic infections like you it would be nothing to have 1 for 8-10 weeks at a time, 1 week of relief and back again. This is the 1st one in 15 years or so so I hope it's not a repeat like prior to kids.
@saundyl I read on pinterest about apple cider vinegar, said to rub but I would imagine just the outside, right?

Ive used a 3cc syringe and squirted it in like you do with the monostat but while in the shower If i notice a yeast infection starting i find for me doing that
Once in the morning stops it from progressing. I pat/rub it on externally after i dry off from my shower.

If its progressed (like for me after sitting in a car for 9 hours) it takes 3 to 5 days.

Hi all. Today was Laundry and grocery shopping day. Friday night was date night in. A wonderful dinner my man made and too much wine. Sat a drive to Newmarket to pick up DS's new guitar ( early Christmas gift. And $1600 poorer! Good thing I am frugal where it counts . Then another date night. Took a drive to casino and had a nice free dinner and gambled with my man at my side all night. He is even and I am up $47.35 . Was a great night!

My drying rack broke, it is almost 30 years old. I am off on Monday so will drive to IKEA to look for one. Maybe Canadian tire as well. The costco one is almost $50. Whereas the IKEA 20. Hopefully I can find them in stock as it seems off season for them. Busy weekend, but I got lots done. Started on some Christmas shopping. We are going to spend a lot less this year since our big gift is the vacation. I did take advantage of the SDM GC promo, DH and I have almost 2 top level redemptions on our cards. We are each giving one away as money is tight for a few people in my family.

well off to Toronto today for 12.00 to visit with daughter her hubby -she looks so tired as she just came back on Friday from montreal for work and had his parents over for supper Friday night -then a birthday dinner party last night for a good friend -so we decided to go to a small pub "the roy" awesome little pub -I had eggs benedit on English muffins with side salad -hubby had 2 eggs breakfast deal, hash browns toast as they had sunday breakfast brunch til 3.00 p.m -went to pay for our portion and daughter and her hubby said nope they treated us
-then had a tea and came home at 4.00 -so they can rest up before work week -gave my daughter some lip glosses I didn't care for
-hubby is sick with cold so I will sleep in spare room tonight as I watch ashlyn the next 2 days

-oh get a load of this as we pulled into our driveway somebody meaning 1 of my 2 neighbours decided to rake a pile of leaves into our driveway-really ticked us off -as I bagged 4 bags on garbage night and the 2 trees are not even on my front lawn -so I took my rake and pulled them out from under the car -hubby told me don't bother to rake those small pile of leaves -really who does that ???

Yesterday DH and I also bought some gift cards at Shoppers for the bonus points so hoping for a bonus redemption day later this month. Today I had a pretty lazy day-DD and DH made dinner and I popped out for a few groceries and a short walk. A nice day at home. Perhaps I needed that after looking after the 2, 12 month old twin boys yesterday afternoon-keeping up with the 2 of them just learning to walk and constantly fallling down kept me busy.

Was able to get some good shopping deals this week - Sobeys had some load the card deals, so got two bags of frozen veg for 1.50 each, and six apple strudel for just over 2. Bonus AM points for spending over 50 - and had used a raincheck for Folgers coffee so we are set with that for a while. Oh, and picked up lots of juices at a buck for four packs - we don't drink much juice, and if we open a litre container, half usually gets wasted, so we'll try the juice boxes for variety.

At Co-op, got the Pepperidge Farm cracker chips (ketchup are great) for 3, used 2.50 coupon, and 2.50 CO51 - how awesome! Cashier didn't enter one of the dollar coupons for either the OD tortilla chips or the Sun Rype juice, so bummer there. Also got two chickens and some ground pork.

Son is here for a visit. We had a good supper, and I'm on here for a bit while the guys talk guy stuff...
