Both shot dead after police chase.
Judging by reports this morning, this was a 'planned' operation, since he couldn't have had time to leave the party, make 3 pipe bombs (which didn't explode at the party), grab 4 weapons, and his wife, and return to shoot innocents dead.
His wife dropped their 18-month old off at a grandparent earlier yesterday, claiming they had a doctor's appointment later that day. The staff had given the shooter a baby shower recently.
Personally I think he chose that day because he knew that the conference room would be filled with co-workers, all in one place, convenient for causing the most injury in the shortest time, rather than going office to office.
I wonder what they'll find on their social networks when they're finally disected.

Personally I don't believe religion is the culprit here; b-a-s-t-a-r-d-i-z-e-d religion is the problem.
There are bad people in the world who, if they needed an excuse to kill, will claim to be of a b-ardized religious faith or will find another reason...politics, for instance...their view of politics.
There isn't a true religious faith that urges their followers to kill non-believers, but there are people who will use THEIR interpretation of a religion as an excuse to kill.Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Dec 4th, 2015 at 08:33 AM.

A similiar situation nearly happened in canada today.
A car crashed and was abandoned shortly after. Police searched and found high capacity weapons ( illegal in canada) and "religious iconography" .....this was 10 minutes from my house!http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-...stRecentReview

Frightening. The police are thinking gangs though, not terrorism.

The problem is, and I have said this before, it does not matter what we think. If they believe that what they read in their rule book is the word of god then all that matters is that. KKK are xtian, ISIS are Islamists, Westboro baptist Church are prods because they believe it. What we think is irrelevant. We don't want to think that they could possibly come up with the reasons they claim to be doing this for from the same books that you(general you) are reading.

Gee - a religious book - is it 'the book whose name we dare not speak' - or a Bible, Book of Mormon, etc. ? So odd, and does it matter? Now I don't keep a religious book in my car, but I think a lot of people might.

It may have been copies of The Watchtower. The Witnesses have been getting a bit more aggressive with their missionary work lately...
