Science has shown that a positive attitude goes a long way to fighting serious disease. The thing is, you can be sad and upset, i's true. But being positive and building each other up has better short and long term effects. Don't get me wrong. You'll probably shed a few tears and that's normal. But try to just love each other and talk about good times while you deal with this crisis. Doing so will be like spitting this freakin' cancer in the face and your strong love for each other will be your victory.

Good morning...I received a call from Avon last evening; they're back from London, where her Hubby had his appointment and it's been decided that more investigation needs to be done in order to determine their course of action.
They're in touch with family members of course, the various doctors who are collaborating with each other, but she wants you to know that right now, she has so much on her plate, and the stress, the traveling are taking its toll on both of them, but she will post here as soon as they have more information.

Honestly, they both so appreciate your posts, your concerns, your healing thoughts and prayers and hold onto them as they continue on this journey.

Please continue to remember them in your prayers and thoughts...thank you...

Tomorrow we make our second trip to London this week.

We will meet with Dr #2 - the oncologist who has been tracking DH's progress for over a decade.

We should have the results of the bone scan which was done on Tuesday.

DH's urologist (Dr#1) very much doubts that this is a progression of DH's prostate cancer as it usually moves to bones first. (Although it is not totally unheard of for it to skip going to bones.)

He believes it is more likely that it has originated from another part of DH's body.

A biopsy has been ordered which will help to define where the cancer has come from. This is important in assigning the proper expert to the case (maybe Dr #3). Also the TYPE OF CHEMO and/or other tool will depend on the type of cancer.

I will pack a bag again tonight in case there is some reason to stay in London. We think that the biopsy will be done next week, though.

We also send OUR thoughts and prayers to those of you who are also facing challenges of your own.
