I had an issue Price Matching at RCSS due to where the produce came from but I talked to Customer Service who said No that is out of your control, so now anytime anyone says I cannot I ask for Customer Service to be called and have not had a problem since.
Wal-Mart I have not had an issues except once and we did not realize until all our stuff was on the belt that we knew the cashier and she was doing everything in her power to turn down all my price matches and coupons. Pretty sure it was personal because she kept telling me to just buy it I can afford to pay full price, money is no issue for me and various other personal comments as she knows me and my mom.

Cashiers judge whether or not you can afford to pay full price? I'm sorry, but some people just have too much time on their hands.
Sometimes I imagine the disclaimer policies on the store's price matching statements, like you can only price match if you're a senior, dress like a bag lady, and pay cash, preferably all nickels and dimes.
I agree with Frugalbigmama, that it's generally the older cashiers who do it as well. Why? I have to admit, I've been frequenting the younger cashiers (even if I know they're cranky and hate their jobs) because they can usually see if the pricematch is valid without having to call a CSM, be hassled, take out their glasses, or study the photo for 10 minutes. Does that make me ageist? Oh dear....
There is still that one cashier I dread at the returns desk at WM that pulls out a calculator and tells me how close I am to the limit of days of when I would not be allowed to return something. Like she'd take the time to tell me that if I came 48 days from now, I would not be allowed to return it. I always thank her for the info and move on. The younger ones tell me they give a few days past the 90 days in general.

I haven`t been posting but I do keep up with the thread when I can. Sorry to hear of the deaths and illnesses. I can definitely use some positive thoughts and prayers.
This morning I was driving but probably won`t be again til I get my eye injections in June. Dropped some cider at a friends. While we were there my blood sugar went low. She had to drive us to Milverton to sign our income tax, pick up a couple things and drove us home. Her husband came and picked her up. My blood sugars have been all over the place...a lot of lows which has led to some weight gain from eating so much at night. I`m waiting for a call back from the nurse about my insulin dose.
My appointment with the liver specialist has been moved up to the 12th so hope to get some answers then.
I`ve been doing some crocheting. Have decided to pull my stuff from most of the stores but will definitely keep AnnaMaes.
Hope everyone has a good day.

so sorry to hear your sugar is still giving you troubles, hope you get some good news at your appointment on the 12th or perhaps some solutions. It must have been a hard decision to cut back on the stores you supply with your lovely crafts but I can certainly understand because the demands are so high with your products and you need to focus on you.
I'll be saying a prayer for you (hugs)2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

When it comes to price matching I guess that is one downside to living in a small town, people think they know and think they have the right to judge. Even people who do not know me have commented when I run into the store after work and am wearing a work shirt, had one cashier ask me if I work there I said yes and then she asked me why I was using coupon as she heard our company only hires full time, what does it matter if I work full time?
On the same subject I think people at my mom's work are making assumptions. I think they assume I make a lot more then I do as none of them can understand how Mom is having money issues. They seem to assume I have extra money and can cover anything she needs/wants.

I think it has been a good night.
I had to go set up for the meeting for tomorrow as we need to hard wire in 10 laptops so I went to go and play with cables and set up and made sure I could connect to the large screen. Well I was setting up I cooked the pasta since I could just set the timer and go. I also chopped the veggies well I was waiting for my meeting to start.
Since I got home I made Chocolate Pudding Cake, Dill Potato Salad and Lazy Cake Cookie bars (These were so simple and they are so good, I could eat the whole pan, but I won't).
Now I am typing up my plan for tomorrow, the first half is power point the second half is going to be more interactive and me walking them through it live on my laptop.
Have a great night everyone.

-I cant sell on apps like varage sale as I don't own a cell phone -so kijiji it is I leave the items up fro 6-7 months -they take them to pluto for a small bit of money for my daughter -or I may pass some clothing along -my daughter-in-law took a coat and a few blouses from my daughter's bag and my son got a few dress shirts
-watched ashlyn today -she went on the potty -so she was soo proud of herself all day -saying "yeah ashlyn -I popo on the potty"its a start I think my daughter-in-law is gonna devote one weekend to training her
-tired tonight -took ashlyn out to play for an hour and half and then took her in the morning to the free early learning centre she loves the half hour gym time -on the way out pampers had a bin with free sample pack of 5 newborns -so hubby took 1 and I took one so 10 free newborns for my daughter

Cath-so sorry about your Grandma passing
Avon-sorry to hear about the loss of your dog
J n C-hopefully once your current reno is complete you will be more settled and feel better
SA-I can't believe how much time and effort you put into food for work meetings. Makes me tired just reading it! Or it could be that with you being so much younger than me you have 10 times the energy! Wow! I tell you, they are lucky to have you and I hope they realize that and appreciate you-perhaps it is because it is a family business or something you enjoy, but if it were me arranging food for a work meeting it would be the subs-full stop-and if they were lucky I might order them and maybe even pick them up-lol! I don't think I would have the tme or energy to be making multiple dishes on top of working full time+. So kudos to you! When I did work full time I carefully protected my off hours to spend time with my family, friends, rest etc as I needed the balance in my life. Mind you, having said that I worked my duff off as a healthcare manager- when I was there I gave 110% never taking breaks for personal calls, social media etc. I guess everyone is different but I really had to divide my day into work time and my time to make it work.Last edited by lizzie bargain; Thu, May 5th, 2016 at 12:01 PM.
