Crochetlady - In Memoriam

Thank you to @sweet sparrow for relaying the information about Crochetlady passing. I received a call from her niece, Sue, on Wednesday when I was travelling up North for family vacation. Since sweet_sparrow and I had exchanged a few messages I asked her to post the information as I could not get to a computer for a few days. I gave condolences to her niece in person on behalf of us all. It was Crochetlady's request to keep us informed and have her niece call us upon her death. She called us friends.

I plan to print out some of her posts and condolences and mail them to her family.

Crochetlady...I have one of the last hand towels you have made. It will be an honoured treasure in our home. I will think of your generosity as I dry my hands. I have one of the last crocheted blankets you made. I will speak to my daughter about your kind heart when she snuggles it. I am grateful for our phone conversations just two weeks ago so we could "meet." Life took you by surprise this past year with your liver failing. You remind us all today to count our blessings on Earth and in Heaven. I know you weren't ready to say goodbye...I know you had more projects to crochet and people to love. May you rest in peace.

What a beautiful and fitting tribute, @Granger ...she was a valuable member of her SC Family here and will genuinely be missed.

So sadden to hear of Crochetlady's passing and my condolences go out to her family and all those close to her. I never met her but lived about 45 minutes away from her and should have made the time especially since reading the link to her obituary to find out that she passed away in the town I live in.

Such a wonderful, happy and upbeat SC'er that will greatly missed.
