Good morning, friends! I badly needed this sleep-in. My physio isn't until 1 pm today.
That moon last night, buffeted by clouds reminded me of.."The moon was a ghostly galleon Tossed upon cloudy seas " - one of my favourite poems. The Highwayman.
@cabmonk - your food basket will definitely come in handy. I remember the year my family got one at Christmas. My dad was in Teachers ' College and my brother had just been born and my mum had lost her job. Times were pretty lean. But I still have the presents that my mum & dad gave me that year. My dad gave me a silver dollar he had bought when I was born and my mum gave me a bracelet that my dad had given her when they were "courting ". I wore it on my wedding day.
So, you see, it's not the value of the gifts given, it's the love behind them that matters.
Ah, I wax nostalgic. I had better get up and get on with my day.
Have a great one, folks!Last edited by avoncallingu; Fri, Dec 13th, 2019 at 09:44 AM.

@avoncallingu yeah definitely I hear you. It’s nice to be able to get something like this no matter what it is.

@Lynn49 that reminds me of something on friends. Phoebe to Joey: they said they thought you were pretty but dumb. Oh no that says pretty dumb lol.

Got this from my nephew's wife, who is vice principal at a high school.
Yep, there were days like this when I was teaching!

Hi, cool cats!
Wow, yesterday aft my physiotherapist didn't come - because I was waiting on the wrong day! Apt was today!
She did some deep tissue prodding on my right side, then showed me two new exercises for me to start in a few days. Because I am so sensitive, I am really sore after she works on me, so I need to start leaving a delay before doing certain exercises. I do continue my regular ones as well.
I won't see her until January, but she will email me some stuff next week.
Aside: talk about red tape and paper overload, I had to sign a document giving them permission to email me. Sheesh!
This morning, home care nurse came - leg looks great, but it's just not quite ready to debride fully yet. She did get some off the outside edges.
Husband came home mid-afternoon because the only work left for him was all outside, and it's like -30 or something here.
Take care, everyone - hope you have a nice snuggly evening!
I choose these to snuggle with!Last edited by Natalka; Fri, Dec 13th, 2019 at 05:51 PM.

Well, @Natalka , the teachers at our GS's school had it pretty easy today...it was pyjama day but it was also a snow-day so GS packed regular clothes in case pj-day was postponed...no chance, lol...teachers and students that were at school (3 in GS's class, plus 2 from the other grade 6) were all in pjs, so the kids played in the gym then they all made decorations for the school tree.
Next week is ugly sweater day..Science North trip day....then their school concert day...they're really keeping the kids out of mischief! Hahaha!
As to wine, yes, thank you, I just poured myself a glass.
Glad your leg is continuing to improve...that debriding...is it painful to go through?
Also happy your Hubby got home instead of working outside.
He'd have been okay here, it hit +1, but was drizzling most of the day.
Enjoy your weekend, Nat!

Great, now I want cake...
@Lynn49 - this time, they are being careful with it, only pulling off parts which come off easily, usually when moistened.
However, when I got sick initially over two years ago, both legs were terribly bad, they would stuff me full of morphine and yet my hospital roomie said that I was screaming and crying so much when two wound care nurses did it - i don't remember that, I was out of it.
...
I was able to have some nice fish and coleslaw for supper, along with some popcorn shrimp - could not do more than a few fries. Not much taste, though I am glad I could get some protein and calories in.
Good night, everyone!
