More information wrt "herd immunity"...
https://www.cbc.ca/radio/thehouse/co...cron-1.6307272
The lightning-fast spread of the Omicron variant is prompting some of the country's top public health officials to rethink their approach to COVID-19 — and to acknowledge that Canadians should get used to living with the virus.
One of them is Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia's chief medical officer of health.
"At some point in time, we are going to have to say we have to move away and accept that the virus that causes COVID is going to be around with us," Strang said in an interview airing Saturday on CBC's The House.

I think that they call it 'IHU'.

Was watching Dr. Isaac Bogoch on CBC this morning and he was answering a question regarding simultaneous infection by multiple strains. He said that it was certainly possible and had been reported, but that it should not make anyone less or more sick. An interesting point was raised regarding swabbing random people. He said that just from walking around in public, you would likely be hit by all kinds of particles, but the important thing would be whether or not there were sufficient numbers in the body to infect the individual. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Roll call!
@GoJays ? present.....and meme-ing on a Monday
@danger_dan ? present with a quickie drive by
@Lynn49 ? present but wishing to be future ( Spring envy )
@walkonby ? uh.....sort of present but SO bored!
DH finally got " round-to-it " with 2 small jobs he's been meaning to complete.
Last night he replaced the weather stripping on our front door....Brrr, we have definitely overpaid on our heating bill by ignoring this loss of heat. Then later today he and DS are going to my sis's place to remove and replace all the bathtub silicon caulking. Fully masked up and social distancing from her while inside will be how they roll with that job.
Not a whole lot planned today. Btw has anyone with arthritis issues had any major ( very painful ) flare ups yesterday as well as on Saturday? No? Just me then?
We figured it HAS to be the sudden drop in the temps, to FREEZING cold! My left knee....oh brother...I finally resorted to Tylenol for arthritis tablets , Pennsaid Oil and my heated knee brace.
Today there is just slightly less pain, but very limited mobility. Seems the only few places I CAN walk to are the fridge and the tv room....bwahahaha!!
Stay safe and warm all!Last edited by walkonby; Mon, Jan 10th, 2022 at 12:28 PM.

@lizzie bargain , we don't hate y'all.....honestly couldn't be happier for this flip flop of weather. Just a question though.....when we begin to thaw out is there a chance we can be cured from making so many comfort foods?
hee hee...

Well, @walkonby , at least you can make it to the fridge and back to your tv, I'd say that's quite enough for now, poor muffin.
I must be accustomed to the cold here, no arthritis problems. Of course the only time I open the door is to let Jenny out and back in, sooooo...yep, counting the days until spring.
