@flemeth this is why I have always wished animals had the power of speech! Poor Thor. Hope you are able to find out what's gotten under his skin.
This frigid day is not my favourite. Wanna hear something very strange? the letter between b and d on my keyboard is showing up as an " s " . Notise there are no words with the letter " see " in them here? You may see how the word notise has
shown up right? maybe if I turn off the puter and turn it on again it will right itself.
Until then I guess I should not try to post anything.
ta ta for now!

Ffffffrigid morning!! -21!
Hubby has to run out for his usual bloodwork, checking the viscosity of his blood since he has a mechanical valve. It has to be between 2.5 and 3.5; he usually goes once a month, but if we've had foods higher in vitamin K, he gets it checked. If its 3.5+ I have to put him in a padded room so he can't use any kitchen tools, lol! He adjusts his medication depending on his results.
Whew....how'd I ramble into that ?!
So nothing on the agenda, just staying in, warm, and not going near any people.
Our FS goes back to school with everyone else, I guess...no boosters yet, he has a PPE mask, but at lunch? Lovely exchange of germs in the classroom!!
Take care, everyone! Stay safe!

Good morning all
Thor is doing much better as the day progresses yesterday. Our vet is doing some test . He is diabetic so we thought it was low blood sugar since we got him a new bone on the weekend our vet didn’t think so it think it has something to so with his spine or Pancreatitis. We will get the result by the end of the week. He did give him some meds.

@flemeth good to have at least had Thor checked out. Hope the test results are in his favour.
Haven't stepped out front just yet, but it looks cold. Have to brave the outside do my blood work today, Can't believe we still have to make an actual appt. to get blood drawn at the lab. We used to just be able to show up with our requisition in hand.
Covid.....argh!

Good morning!!
A nice, balmy -5 this morning, but heading down for the rest of the week; happy that my chiro appt is today.
@flemeth, that's good news about Thor, but I can't remember how old he is...I hope he's much improved today.
@walkonby, yah, the good 'ol days, hm? The only line-ups were in the early morning or lunch hours which we avoided.
Hubby's quite satisfied with that appointment thing, though, since he can cut any lines and be sure to get in without standing in those freezing temps. His result was 2.5...I call it "sludge" he calls it "just fine"...sigh...
5 deaths here from covid announced yesterday, but HEY! Let's get those unvaccinated kids back to school!!! I'm glad our GS is in a high-school where most should have been vaccinated, plus the grade 7s and 8s don't have contact with the highschoolers.
Absolutely f***ing ridiculous to toss those germy kids into a salad, whose parents may be anti-vaxxers, to just work it all out for themselves. (rather like your post, @GoJays ) How many teachers are anti-vaxxers?! This isn't going to end well and we'll all be in a tight lock-down again by spring, I wager.
Ok! On that happy note, enjoy your day, everyone, stay home as much as possible, stay safe!Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Jan 12th, 2022 at 10:52 AM.

@Lynn49 Thor will be 10 years old in March.
Thor seems to be getting back to his normal self today. Monday late into the night was kind of scary for us because he was just lying there and if we tried to pick him up he would cry and whine and forget how to get around. DH and DD was ready to take him to the emergency but I wanted his vet to check him out since he has his medical records since he was a puppy. We should have his test results by the end of the week.

@walkonby , it's not cold today! Currently it's 0 degrees... what a sad state of affairs when one can say that 0 is not cold... bah, stupid winter. And as for the appointments for blood tests, I wouldn't do it any other way. Like Lynn said, you show up on time and you skip any lines there may be, it's great for crowd-hating people such as myself
