.....just waiting for our ration cards to show up....

I'm trying to understand why this virus is such a big deal!
In Canada, 2,000 to 8,000 people die every year from the flu...just regular ol' flu! Where's the news about everyone who's had this new flu and recovered?
Why are only deaths being covered and reported? Are they going to continue to count each death up to 2,000? The scare tactics are ridiculous.
So now our governments have us shut in our homes, we're not allowed to gather...what next, martial law?

I think it's a conspiracy by the toilet paper makers.

I have so many mixed feelings about this virus... and I do agree with your flu comment. The media is very good at doomsday reporting but not much has been said about the tens of thousands of people who have recovered from this.

Thank you, @GoJays . Mixed feelings is perfect....I think we are all aware that there are germs out there, that keeping clean is always a good idea, but the sky isn't falling even though we're being told otherwise. Scare tactics are whipping people into a frenzy, buying, hoarding...instead of just being aware that yes, it's flu season, always has been in winter!
I want to hear from the survivors. But they don't make the news.

@danger_dan Our DS was instructed to work from home last week...till further notice I think. Hope you are at least enjoying the lighter traffic on the drive into work.

@Lynn49 too many mixed feelings all intertwined as logic and facts wrt any past flu is being replaced with some shiny new objects....panic, fear, psychological repercussions from self distancing/isolation.
