Its a nice and cool morning . Will try to get my walk in before it get hot. Well I made the decision which was hard not to volunteer at our local public school this year.

Lynn49 is your grandson doing in class or Virtual Schoo? If I remember correct GoJays also has kids that are of school aged are the going back to in classroom learning? Would like to know how was first day or week for anyone doing in class?
@Natalka hoping you are doing better ? I feel for you when I read your post about how much pain you are in ((((HUGS)))) Just hoping and praying that your DR can figured out what’s making them come back so quickly.

@flemeth , our GS is 12, so he'll be in grade 7 this year, but in a wing of the high school my DH taught in, and where our DD went to school. He has orientation later today and he's so anxious to find out if his friends are in his class, and generally very happy to be back. His parents contemplated online learning since he's very disciplined in doing his homework, but he wanted to return. I think he'll do very well with this covid thing, and understands how important the rules are. His first full day is tomorrow...I'll let you know how that went.

What a mess we're all in, though. With his return to school we'll be back to distancing with the kids...I'm not sure how it'll be on our last weekend at camp this weekend.

But! Our DD has requested her "Flourless Cake 1" from allrecipes (must be the "1" since there are others) this last weekend. I serve it with raspberry coulis and fresh raspberries. It's amazing!

@natalia , I hope you're doing better today.

I'm watching the covid news showing all those damn entitled millenials huddling together in large groups, not protecting each other or us from their potential disease with masks. That's what you get from kids who always "won" participation medals!!!

Finally getting over my cold. My nose is still stuffed up but that’s about it. I cough a. It when I wake up but I always have for years lol. Anyway I hope everyone is having a good day. I’ll try to go to the gym later especially when it’s not as busy and do some weights. Temps are definitely dropping so don’t think I’ll be going on many more bike rides.

Well, they didn't actually go back yesterday. It was their first day of online learning. Today they go for two half-days, then off Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday is an online day and Thursday and Friday are in-class days. It's a shilt show for sure. My daughter has been talking with friends who are not in her cohort, they all said that class sizes are at about 8-10ish.

I talk to a mom that I know from school that has 2 girls in elementary school she said the girls are nervous but it went ok yesterday the didn’t learn anything. Most people in my neighbourhood is doing virtual learning . As for the high school that next me I did not see too many kids going to school.

Good late morning everyone!!!! Sure fall is coming up soon...rainy ,cold and foggy day.
Today I will just relax because tomorrow I have some cleaning and some grocery shopping to do.
