@avoncallingu Yeah one thing too growing up I was very shy but started to become more social and maybe started talking a bit too much lol. One thing for our small holiday inn express we had a few guests I wouldn't expect. Hayden Christianson from star wars, players and coaches from the Vancouver Canucks. People from the New york mayors office during the international aids conference (not the mayor lol) Ben Afflecks personal assistant (While Affleck himself stayed at the four seasons lol.

Went on a "Magical Mystery Tour" yesterday with my BrotherR. There is nothing planned on weekends for residents at the retirement lodge. I planned to take a "run" over to the States to mail some things to DH's kids. Got everything ready, including arranging to get into BrotherB's house to get BrotherR's keys so I could go and get BrotherR's passport-----only to realize that I had no idea where MY passport was!! After looking into every last box and "I'm-sure-it-must-be-HERE!" place-- went on to plan B.
We drove to London-took in the OLG Slots for about two hours and then went to supper on a patio and then to a show. -The only one we could agree on was "Atomic Blonde"-Good plot but I saw more violence than I care to see in ---forever!
Then back roads home so we could see the meteor showers. Parked on very dark back roads - pulled off into farmers' laneways. Saw 1 -my typical luck with this meterological phenomenon. Will try again next year.
Slept in this morning -then more unpacking and tidying. I met a friend for lunch. That was fun!
BrotherR came over to watch golf on the big TV and we're going over to BrotherB 's for supper. I have to deliver "calming stuff" to my friend for Sadie as she is out of her pills.
Tomorrow I am hoping to meet some friends for lunch tomorrow in Stratford but that depends on whether BrotherB can take BrotherR to 2 appointments tomorrow.
Sadie will come back "home" Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll be so glad to have her back.
Another lovely day.
Hope you are all having a great day!Last edited by avoncallingu; Sun, Aug 13th, 2017 at 06:08 PM.

Nice pic there, I'd like to be able to take better pics soon. I have 2 weeks free of pro membership on that photo hosting site. It ends on Aug 25th and the pro one includes free online classes, so far it looks mostly like every friday. So while I had the free 2 weeks (usually $60us for a year) I signed up for 2 online classes aug 18th and 25th. I'll see how it goes and eventually I might be able to sign up for the yearly membership.

Good morning everyone!!
Back from camp, it was a lovely weekend with the kids! DH is off golfing, Jenny is still sleeping so time for me to grab a coffee and relax for a while. I had time to hand-sew the binding on one side of the baby quilt, so 3 more and I'll be able to give it to them on the weekend when they'll also be at camp.
Have a beautiful week, everyone!!

Oh, goodie...the Farmer's Almanac sent me this today: anyonw know the difference between "ice cold" and "freezing cold"??
From the Great Lakes going east across Quebec, and into the Maritimes, snowier-than-normal conditions are expected. Winter temps should also be 1–2°C below no
rmal over the eastern two-thirds of the country.
In contrast, from the Prairie Provinces west to British Columbia, overall temperatures will average above normal.
